Bring 'em out (the angel eyes, that is)

I drive with the angels and fogs at night next to cops and all, they have never said anything to me except for complementing how good it looks:D

DRL are a canadian thing, atleast I thought it was. Isn't a law or something over there?

Probably.

Switch straight up and down "off" when I want everythig off. To the right one notch for parking lights which my angel eyes are wired into. Switch pulled out for fog lights on. Switch all the way right for low beams on when i decide to turn them on.

Ok thats what I thought. When I put the parking lights on the Highs come on at a reduced output, which looked like sh1t. Which is probably the Canadian thing.

Couldn't you tap into the wires going to the high beams, always leave them plugged in and put a switch for them in the interior?

Sure you could, but I dont use my high beams enough to do that.

DRL (high beam at ~30% power) is a requirement by law in Canada, and is a good thing IMO.

More often than not, I see idiots driving around in bad weather (fog, heavy rain, snow) with no lights on. At least with DRLs, I can see them coming at me.

On the LS, if you are in R or D and your low beams are not on, DRLs work. In P or N they turn off, and they also turn off in R and D if you apply the parking brake (at least on my Gen II).

Same here ^^ I knew it was a law but didn't think that there was a difference in the way the LS's were manufactured for Canadian owners. Huh, learn something new everyday lol I could unplug it but it doesn't look that bad almost looks like th BMW DRL that sit behind the small ring..

What is best to run with the Angel eyes for the fogs..? Led or do a HID conversion on the fogs? 6k should be decent..no?

either will match them good. HID's in fogs you get glare, LED's in fogs you get no real light output, but if it's just to match the rings, LED's are good but so are hids

Anybody got a link? Or are they even still available? I'd like a set of CCFLs if they still make them.

You really want CCFLs? They aren't anywhere near as good as the LEDs. Give Umitza a call and tell em the year of your LS and they'll hook you up.

Exactly. You don't want CCFL's. I wish I had taken a pic of a CCFL ring next to the LED ring. It's obvious which one is worth cracking your headlights open for. And you definitely want to minimize the chance of having to go back in.

Guess you guys are right. I was looking at the LEDs, but I liked the softer light of the CCFL. Probably just go with LEDs. They last longer anyways.

This was last summer, My Cooper Zeon RS-3's should be here mon. evening then I should have an updated pic with Tuscana's on!!

dammit anyone have a set they wanna donate to me lol

the cheapest ive seen are 200$ for the eyes and a place near me says they will install them for 75$ per headlight ;_;

i thought you could still get them through the group buy ($150). Maybe not...

and $75 per light is a heck of a deal. They probably don't realize the amount of work they would have to do. The lowest i got quoted was $400.

Got mine!!!!

hey dNyce how did you tint the fogs? with niteshade?

does it reduce visibility when you have them on?

they look nice

Thanks! They had smoked film on them. It did reduce output a bit and it altered the color of my fogs (made them look dark blue in person and green in most pics, but i have 6000k hids)

^ Tucana***

can't wait to see them on an LS...thats not white lol

OOPPSS,,

Thanks, Lesson learned!!

I don;t remember the price I paid all together for my light install,,,I can tell you that IT WAS WORTH IT!! I absolutely love seeing my lights in reflections of the car infront of me!! I see the jealous looks all the time!!

Try the OPAQUE Orion V2 LED angel eyes for a softer non LED look.
