My baby hasn't had a bath since October! It was finally nice enough out today (low 50's with a little wind), so i washed the mark, armor all'd the inside, vacuumed it out, and used a spray detailer. here's a bunch of pics

Looks nice and clean. I'm in same boat as you not cleaned since oct. Still don't know about the white/yellow walls thou.

In the summer i detail cars for a job. I did cars ranging from ford explorers, to mercedes e350s, lincolns, acura's, lexus. I made like 700 two summers ago by myself, i made good money with it. I gotta start it up again. It sucks not being able to clean your car, the white/yellow walls (vogues) have grown on me. I remember going with my dad like 3 years ago to get them in the worlds crappiest area in jersey called irving. We got home and i was like ew they look bad, but now i think they look good and i get a lot of compliments on them. everyone likes their own thing though

LOL didn't say I hate them or anything just not used to seeing them at all. Is it a cali thing?

i think they look good on a black car, not anything else. it might me a cali thing idk, where i live in staten island you see alot of caddys with white walls, and once you go into brooklyn fuhgeddaboutit.

I have liked the vogues on your car since I first saw them. Car looks really fresh. Pretty much as classy as a Mark VIII can get.

I see you have brake dust covers. Should go ahead and remove those unless you dont ever drive fast and rarely use the brakes. The Marks brakes are marginal at best and eliminating their ability to air cool makes them near useless in high speed quick stopping or repeated slowing down without warping the rotors.

No one is going to listen to a BMW snob! :D

Looks real good man! Is that the original paint..if so that car had to have spent most of its life garaged..my god it looks flawless. Now i see why you want speedstars so badly..I think they would look amazing on your car with it slightly lowered..and thats all I'd do to that car appearance wise, keep it simple.

Yeah i got the brake dust covers, these are made so that doesn't happen actually. I appreciate the advice though

Car looks good - yes, even with the Vogues :D

Any time you wanna make some dough and detail my 300, let me know.

thanks. most of it is the original paint actually. only things repainted were the hood, rear bumper and front fender and thats it. the previous owners were a coupe in the low 60s in jersey, it was garaged a lot and only had 64k on it, car was spotless and i try to keep it that way. and yeah i want speedstars badly but i'm getting a :q:q:q:q load of compliments on the vogues and my friends (same age as me-16, and a little older) say i should leave them. i appreciate the compliments!

I'll have to take you up on that, i'm always lookin to make some money. It'll most likely be like summer time, thats really the only time i do it, so maybe june-august. I'll give you a list of what i do and prices

Vacuum inside car, inside trunk
Wash car mats, armor all inside, clean windows
Shampoo rugs (if there is any)
Wash outside, polish rims (if chrome)
Give one coat of wax by hand
1 coat of wax with buffing wheel
Then 1 more coat of wax to finish it up
Armor all tires
put rain-x on outside windows (works well in rain)
polish any chrome on the outside

There's probably more to add to that, but i don't remember all of it

The price for all of that is usually close to 250, but since your a member of LVC it would be like 200. this takes usually atleast 3-5 hours easily, I never rush and take my time and do it right. I wish i had pictures of my mom's friends car- its a lexus RL something, forgot the year- anyway she doesn't take care of it, paint looked gone, inside was horrible, she thought i gave it a fresh coat of paint. Not bragging but i do a really good job and take pride in my work lol, i don't think i'd be allowed to touch a buffing wheel if i ever messed up, considering the first car i buffed was a $65k mercedes lol.

The only time it was garaged (forgot to add this to my other post), was when the previous owners had it, now it either sits in the street in front of my house (uncovered)- or my driveway when my dad lets me(usually covered), and when my neighbors go on vacation for 2 months i put it in their driveway and cover it-- the plus side of having older neighbors who are retired

It's all good. Just shoot me a PM in a few months. I'd rather give a local kid/member here the dough instead of the local car wash place that usually does it for me. :)

No problem.

But lets take a look at your statement. "these are made so that doesn't happen actually"
How so? They are solid and stop air from traveling through the wheel to cool the rotor. Its like shoving a solid metal plate in front of your radiator. Air cant move through it so it just sits there and gets hotter.

Then again what do I know, I only work on the things for a living.
