Ok guys, I have a minor concern. Every time I start my 97 the driver's settings is "OFF". I always have the "2" position set for me & no one uses the "1" position. The first couple months since I bought the car it would always be on my settings unless I would change it just like on my current 93 & on the cordovan 97 I used to own. Now it's always OFF so every time I start the damn car I have to push the "2" so everything conforms to my position. Any ideas why? Does it have to do with the key?

Problem solved! Lol.

Guess what? NOPE! Problem isn't solved! I think the issue is definitely the key fob but now my seat slides half way forward & brings the rear way up when I lock the car. When I open the car the seat stays there at that position. I click on "2" & it goes back to my setting... Unless that retarded forward position is position "1". I will try again this afternoon when I leave work.

If the part number on the back of the fob has an AA at the end it is for position 1 and if it has BA it is for position 2. Check that.

I have the exact same problem on my '97 LSC. My key fob remote has an AA at the end. But my settings are always off when I get into the car and I have to press the 1 to get it everything back to my settings. It's mildly irritating.

I never use the memory settings since I am the only one who drives the car. I have it set to off in the door as well as on the keyfob

When will the problems end...right alex!!!!

Ummm, you know the answer to that one... the problems end the day we sell our Marks... & I have 2 of them so that's 2 headaches! lol

Just set 1& 2 to the same position and save it. :)

Going to do that this evening. It's acting weird. I'm also going to try out my other key just in case. Might be a key issue.
