CHECK FOR SHORTED WHEEL SPEED SENSOR CIRCUITS
• Measure the resistance between the suspect wheel speed
sensor pins.
• Is the resistance greater 10,000 ohms?
Yes
GO to E5.
No
REPAIR the circuit in question. CLEAR the
DTC. REPEAT the self-test.
E5 CHECK THE ABS MODULE OUTPUT
• Connect: ABS Module C135.
• Key in ON position.
• Measure the voltage between the suspect wheel speed sensor
pins, harness side.
• Is the voltage less than 9 volts?
Yes
INSTALL a new ABS module. REFER to
Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Module in
this section. CLEAR the DTC. REPEAT
the self-test.
No
INSTALL a new wheel speed sensor. For
the front wheel speed sensor, REFER to
Front Wheel Speed Sensor and Sensor
Ring in this section. CLEAR the DTC.
REPEAT the self-test. For the rear wheel
speed sensor, REFER to Rear Wheel
Speed Sensor and Sensor Ring in this
section. CLEAR the DTC. REPEAT the self-test.
