let me set the mood for ya. it is raining today. like a mo fo. all day :( I am working on a nissan :( a failed project of a friends i bought. poor guy is mechanically retarded.

driving from my mechanically retarded friends house I see what looks like a dog running through someones back yard. so I slam on the brakes. still looking towards what i thought was a dog.
turns out it is a deer making a b line towards the front of my car. i lock the tires up, the deer looks at my front tire looks me dead in the eyes tries to turn right, tries to stop and thud!!!! ran right into the rear drivers quarter. when he hit it looked like a big ass pretzel, he endoed over the trunk landed on all fours and ran off. he was 60 pounds max. my friend looks at me " dude you just blew a tire". i look at him and say "nope i just ended a :q:q:q:qty day. i am done"

after looking at it, its not that bad at all. could have been a lot worse.

yeah, to avoid cutting a hole i was thinking about doing the dry ice trick. . i have seen it done and they sell dry ice here at kroger.

I don't know if it would work on a dent that big, but it can't hurt to try!

If it doesn't work, call Dent Wizard, can't be that much - that looks like a fairly easy one to get out.

The only problem I see is the crease in the dent. That may be hard to remove withothe chipping the paint on the creases.

Dry ice is like a dollar a pound. Worth a shot. You might just be able to pop it out with a good falcon punch from inside the trunk though.

Doing a falcon punch will most likely end up with a f*cked up fender. Just try denting a can and smak it out. Gets all messed up.

that blows.you have luck almost like mine. looking at blown h gasket.deciding whether to just replace gasket or change cam with head off. cant believe the cobra cam is such a low profile, 186/194 deg at .050 with .392/390 lift. truing to find stock mark cam profilr, have accessto the 03 cams for nothing, or hyland for $795 for .452 lift. or just leave it alone and change gasket. motor runs smooth, just exiting water via exh.and dry ice? does what?

head gasket are a pain in the ass. replacing the engine is cheaper and less of a pita. just from talking with you over the phone i have gathered that you just need dependability. just drop a low milage motor in for under $500. that is why i have 2, one a dd on springs and one a hot rod on air.

Damn...And I'm pissed about the door ding I just got. Hope it's an easy fix.

Effin deer. I hit 3 deer since I have had my license. See my old project thread... lol

its not cheaper. i paid 1000 for the low mile motor i had then 1200 r/r. head job, 1200 with heads done.plus with heads offi can put cams in. ive got someone looking into motor anyways cant find anything lesss than 600 now thats with 130000 on it.i hope elliot can do swap cheap. either way the motor has to come out. the a$$ that did the work sabotaged the car. there were bolts loose everywhere, he cracked my windsheild, right where you would bolt the hood back on, the brake check valve which "in all my years doing brakes have NEVER seen one go bad", the new mech said then showed me where it looked like where there was grease and road stuff all over seemed uncannilly clean and what looked to be wrench marks on the part, no longer available i might add.anyways hopefully elliot will have mercy on me and help me out. hear me elliot HHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLP! PRETTY PLEASE!

thats much too large for dry ice. PDR probably wont be able to do it either. the metal is stretched and itll need to be pounded out from the inside and repaired.

its worth a shot to have a PDR guy look at it. it should be easily accessed from inside the trunk.

i hit a F in deer 2 weeks ago with my Mark viii and i got very lucky too. he jumped out of the woods so i hit him while he was in the air. my grille is gone and that was it as far as damage that the eye can see. somehow the radiator found a small leak but i went ahead and replaced that already with new hoses and stat. so last weekend i shoot one of his family members while hunting. had to get even...
