Just out of curiosity what'd you all do your springs

They just break. One day you'll open the console and the next thing you know, you'll hear a "tick" of the spring breaking and the lid will just fall back down. It happens.

Had this happen to mine. I just replaced the entire hinge assembly.

You don't have to remove any felt just the screws at the bottom of the storage area

Gen 2 Console Spring

The springs arrived and look great. We redesigned the upper leg to prevent breakage and extend spring life. I will have pics posted in the next few days and the cost is $7.99 with shipping included.
