SUPER ! my CEL light .

Very trippy too I must add. Don't understand why Cleveland Show, FG, and American Dad were all in a hurricane though.[/QUOTE]

Who knows man. Funny stuff though! It just rolled on through

I think I found my new mechanic ! Thanks to a customer's referral, I met GS. I also found out the reason my old mechanic quit working on cars. But anyway.
It was an O2 sensor. He said that it's not bad enough to worry just yet. But he did scowel at me when he asked me how low I let my fuel get. I do know about the fuel pump only being cooled by the fuel going through it but I still procrastinate occasionally when it comes to filling my tank:rolleyes:. Guess I'll have to get my act together if I don't want to replace the O2 sensor or the fuel pump. Huh!

Great to hear the good news.

I need to grab the rotorpros kit and replace the splash guard again before i tackle the o2 sensor.

I noticed a significant MPG increase after swapping both upstream O2 sensors. I suggest going with NTK as they come with pre-applied anti-seize to the threads. It's a 30 minute job - jacking the car up took the most time, along with one of the sensors as it was OEM, and a bitch to get out.

I would try to tackle this myself, but the water pump went out on the tool truck so all my tools are at my shop. I don't think I'm going to worry about it just yet. If the light comes back on again I'll replace it. Unless I notice a significant fuel loss.

Hun, If I had a nickel for every item on my list of stuff I want for my LS . I would have enough money to clear that list ! :D

yeah, brakes are a necessity. I'd probably do the same.

True, but you can use it on other cars as well, and not just an ls ;) so its a very universal tool.

Speaking of CELs... Mine started flashing today :(. Not very happy, just ordered 6 coils with 2 day shipping. Plan on doing those Thursday night. Now I get to drive my mom's Nissan Sentra . Good luck with your CEL ;).

Aren't they fairly expensive? I'm talking for a decent one. Ive thought about one of the orange ones that they have at advanced or auto zone. It would be very useful. I haven't done much research on them. I usually just take it to duke ( now GS) . He didn't charge me to just read the code. He just said we'll even it up if you need to have the sensor replaced. I offered him $20 or a trade for some mulch but he wouldn't take it.

I feel your pain. I've been there, many times! I used to borrow my dad's F150 when my car was down. But it's his work truck with the bad water pump. So he's rocking the F150. My mom's 96 Bronco is on it's last axle! :D. Its such a bumpy ride I swear one of these days the rear axle is going to fall off! It feels like that jeep from Ace Ventura.

Lol...Jim Carrey should have made more ace Ventura movies.

shikaka!!

It's about $400 for one that can read all of the LS codes.
$50 gets one that will do the basic generic codes.
