Headlight restore (bout time!)

Here is a quick photoshop with the new fogs which looks better because it shows the depth the old lenses didn't in my "test"

and a kinda cool shot:

im all for tinted fogs lol (wonder why) car looks good tho. gives me an idea of what mine wouldve looked like if i threw my tinted corners back in

Lamin-X will melt on your headlights. Or your headlights will melt. Either way it's not a good combo unless you are running HIDs in your lows, and LEDs for your turn signals.

The bulbs in the fogs are a lot closer tothe lense than the headlights though.

I had initially considered the Lamin-X, but backed off when I saw the issues a few others had doing their tail lights.

The tail problem wasn't the tint. My tails had the "melting" indentation as well. The filaments bulbs are hot and if you're running your parking lights all day now that you have angel eyes, you'll probably run into the same "melting" problem. The tint just made accelerated the melting. An easy fix for this is LED tails. Even though mine weren't tinted, I did them because they look great and so my lse tails wouldn't get damaged.

I like it a lot, looks like an lse clone.!

SO got the lights back in and new fogs (used but better shape).I am not 100% happy with the drivers light. I am not sure if I didn't get it sealed real well or what but there is a slight haze that makes me a little angry but for now it looks 100 times better. Here are some pics. I decided not to use the lamina-x and I added the eyelids:

I tested a theory on a old fog. I wanted to see what it would look like to make the fogs appear to be round to better match the headlights. In my opinion the stock fogs look out of place and are so bright being all chrome and all. I may tint them IDK, what do you guys think?

Here is how the car sits now:

Let me know what you guys think!

Not to thread jack, but has anyone thought about tinting the chrome around the turn signal, I just got new headlights. I popped out the ambers on my old set (when i did angels) but, like this look w/ the tent. Couldn't you take the lens ten spray slightly tint the chrome around the turn signal? Just an idea, seein what you guys thought.

Just an aside my headlight were a little foggy and when I was waxing the car I had some Mothers Prewax cleaner get on them and when I cleaned it off. I then actually used it on the lights and they look good now, much better than before.
So if your lights aren't that bad you can try the mothers prewaw cleaner. It is designed to remove oxidation from paint so it seems to do the same on the headlights. It is much cheaper than the headlight restorer and you can use it on the car as well.
