wtf is up with the picture ads ?

did i miss an update? what the hell is with all the ads in the pictures. even the pictures in the sigs which i know never had ads before now have ads. i think its disgusting and its ruining a lot of the images i see on this forum? please tell me there is a way to disable that :q:q:q:q

While the picture ad is very annoying the one that REALLY pisses me off is the damn emoticon one that shows up to the right and under the LMS ad. You roll your mouse over there to scroll the page and BAM! you get blasted with a voice that says "Happy Thanksgiving!" Now I cant even listen to music while on the site cause the damn voice is so much louder then other media that it damn near blew my Klipsch speakers.

It appears to be a script from gumgum.com. I already had an AdBlock Plus filter for anything from gumgum.com - if I disable it, these annoying ads appear... IIRC, gumgum.com was responsible for those goddamn ads on here a couple months back that played a loud voice and/or music whenever a page was loaded.

Has anyone asked Joey about this? This is definitely something that he had to have added in order to make some extra money from the site. I'm not complaining because I have ad block and don't see them, but from what I've heard, these things don't generate much revenue, so if enough people complain maybe he'll remove it.

EDIT: I turned off adblocker and holy crap those are annoying as all hell. WTF!

I am sick of this crap, those ads are everywhere. It really is a eyesore and a PITA to click the X to go away.

I agreee, has anyone asked Joey about this, and possibly do something on the site wide to block these ads from being such a disruption?

I don't like to use AdBlock on sites like these, I'd prefer to just have them show up so the site gets a little revenue and ignore them on my own, but some of the ones here have been really bad.

odd i have ad block enabled and im still getting them. maybe its time to update. i havnt had a chance to read the thread that was posted. and if it wasnt posted under the mark viii or mark viii performance or the for sale thread.i never would have seen it any way.
