Steering Rack or Tie Rods??

He should be able to do that but really, they should have routed the lines like they were to begin with unless in fact, the 93 and 94 lines are ran differently than the 95 and up. After I bought the rack from Laser, I never even took it out of the box from day one lol. It went into my closet still taped up until it was just sold and then I got it out and took pics of it. Clips were also missing from the ends of the boots and I didn't know that either. I guess they forgot to put them on during the rebuild.

A1 cardone racks suck. I am on my second one, still not 100% right. I had to tweak the metal line on mine too. Not fun getting the racks out on these cars....

What I sold him was a Genuine Ford OEM reman and the lines should have been ran correctly so that there would not have to be line tweaking or swapping.

Getting the rack out was the easy part. I'm still confused about why this rack is such an issue if the pressure and return lines are the same? Just like you said...why would I have to swap a line or mod anything? Also the lines on the 93 look slightly larger in diameter, so I'm not sure how it would affect it by swapping the smaller 95 lines.

So I ran out of time anyway and the car is at my neighbors' shop and should be finished tomorrow. Figures, what you think should be a straight up swap ends up turning into a nightmare. Now I wish I would've just changed the inner tie rods instead.:(
