Putting on 03 Cobra wheels. 245/45/17 front, 275/40/17 rear on 17x9's.

Redrilled the rear hubs using a fixture I made to position the new holes. Here it is partially finished. Final hole size was reamed to 1/2" and used several drill bushings up to 1/2". Front hubs and tires hopefully arrive tomorrow and finish it over the weekend.

Good luck with it.

I really do mean that BTW.

I'm glad to see someone trying something different and with their own hands instead of just throwing money at something to make it work.

My concern is excessive vibration from the rear wheels from it not being centered correctly. The MN-10 chassis is horribly floppy and transmits vibrations from anything.

Take care.

The adapter is matched to the hub and was cut on a rotary table. It's dead nuts on. Using the bushings, I could hold center while going up in diameter. Only one done by hand was the final size at 9/16". Studs are off the old front rotors from my SVO.

I took a quick spin on the highway, didn't notice any vibrations at least to 65...

Idk about those wheels in black, kinda funky. Maybe if it was all clean, lowered, and stuff.

Well, up to 85, no vibrations, but I do get a bit of rub from the wheel lip when it lowers and have a good jounce. I'll roll the lip and see how that goes.

UPS says my front hubs and tires are out for delivery, and the weather looks good for tonight/tomorrow.

Those are my favorite wheels. If i were to ever have another black ford product I would run those wheels, but as you can see below, the make any car look good IMHO.

Will the hubs use the original studs after machining them? (like if I went to the parts store and ordered studs for a Mark Viii?

I would like to get my spare set taken off my parts car and sent up to ya to do this... along with the rotors... Unless I find some slotted rotors already my pattern.

You could, but since I'm putting Mustang hubs up front, I wanted the lugs to be the same and not half 12MM and the others 1/2". $15 bucks for 10 lugs from Summit.

When your done could you post a full picture of your car with them on? I have the same wheels but in chrome and im dying to see what they are going to look like on my gen 1.

I was wondering are the back hub flanges one thickness? Once I checked my front hubs and saw they where 2 thicknesses I decided not to redrill the hubs. And went the rim notch way.

Still sitting high since the AR was off, and needs a bath badly after the rain this morning.

Yes the rear hubs are flat on the backside unlike the fronts.

wow that looks great! if you were to black out the rest of the chrome it would be perfect.

I like the wheels and the car, I still think they don't look so great in black though. IDK. Way better than stock though!

Ahhhh... was completely unaware that the lugs/studs on the marks were metric. Makes complete sense now...

Nice job.I had thought about these wheels also when I get to getting some.I do wish they would make them in 18's also.
