The xk8 is sharp too, I didn't see that before I posted. Too bad its not manual though, I think that would make that car a lot more fun. Hell, its too bad the STD didn't come with a manual because it would also make that much more fun!
Bikes are where I stray from American only lol. They just don't have a competively priced and performing sportbike unfortunately. Buell was working on that new barracuda which I was digging then HD pulled the effing plug. Jak@sees.
where are you seeing a cts-v for that cheap? the cheapest i can find one is $30K.
i guess if you can get a 04 STR for $6500 with less than 70k mi on it, then you should jump on it, unless you actually want to be able to work on the motor. i would buy the V, put a blower or a snail on it, then laugh if a STR ever pulled up to a light next to you!we arent talking about new. I can pick up an str for half the price of the same year cts-v.
it was a thieft recovery for about 14.5k, nothing wrong with the car at all
also, look harder

no it has 69,000 miles on itThe first CTS-V has 100,000 miles on it.
well for starters, this guy doesnt seem to mind the millageWho the hell wants a car that's 7years old with that kind of miles on it.
also someone who cant afford a newer one, or someone who doesnt mind buying a older one to save some money, if im going to buy a car like that, im also going to drop a lot of money into it, and i wouldn't want to start ripping in to a car that i still owe 20k on.But a black on black 06 with less than 100K is pure car sex.
i dont doubt that, the point is that i was asked where i saw on for that cheap. and the fact is that they are out there.I can get a 08 STR for $20,000 with half the miles.

oh man, i will definitely hop on a plane and fly somewhere to save 5-8 grand, plus the ride home would be funyeah im not gonna go 1000 miles out of my way to purchase a vehicle.
i cant stand the way that the 1st gen CTS's look like and that the biggest reason that i haven bought one yet, however the inside and the outside of the 2nd gens look killer, if i ever find one of those for a decent price, i will snap it up in a heart beat.I like the LS over the STR but ill take the looks of it over the CTS as well.

I totally agree.. If costs are cheaper going to get one, I would defiantly do it.. Or even if I broke even, I would still get one in the Southern states because of no salt..
The catch is that you may get there and discover that there is a problem and that you don't want that car because of it. In that case you will be out the time and money for the trip. You always need to consider the possible risks versus the possible benefits.

your right, i have helped a couple people buy cars from across the country, and every time we have the vehicle inspected before we even consider flying out, worse case, good time for a vacation! In that case you will be out the time and money for the trip.
