Blend door actuator

hey well my actuator is bad on My Mark and the black lever is broken. i called the dealer up and they sed its 68 dollars. i asked if the lever was included and the guy couldnt answer. do any of you know if its include and also if you guys know where i can maybe find them cheaper. thanks for the help in advance

Call Max at Five Star Ford. Much cheaper. There's an ad on the right of your screen. And yes, the actuator includes the black arm. If your gray arm is broken as well, you'll have to order it separately.

better hurry up and call him as his dealership was sold to another dealer and they are changing everything over so he said he'll be down for a little bot, call him monday dont wait!
 
So are us GEN I owners $hit out of luck for blend door actuators? I remember rock auto at one time selling them, but now they don't? So what are we supposed to do exactly?:(
 
It is my belief that most of the Gen 1 problems is not actually the blend door, but a partially clogged heater core. That was the problem with my 93. I got nice hot heat.
 
I have the patented blend door clicking noise, doesn't that usually mean the gear is stripped or a missing tooth?
 
I have a friend with a 95 that does the same thing, it had heat after about 3 minutes of clicking but now it has none. I'm curious to know the answer to this too.

Yes. The plastic gears strip their teeth. The only option for one at this point is in a junkyard. My old 96 had the same symptom but at the time the part was still available.
