My brothers 93 Mark VIII alternator just went out. (from search) I know that Gen I Marks have the 120 amp alt. and while Gen IIs have the 130 amp alt. I want to use the Gen IIs alt. on his 93 but I read that the wires are not big enough or something. Can someone confirm that I can use Gen IIs alternator on a Gen I without any wire issues?

I just put a Gen2 alt in my Gen1 last month. No problems. Just think the power stud on the new alt is like 1/2 inch off from old one but goes on.

if you have just a headunit and speakers and no big amp or anything, i would go with stock.

Well you said interior speakers... It has two amps as i remember infinity a311 running at 312W RMS each along with a 10" sub woofer and then the head unit(GPS screen) and speakers bla bla. Still should be good with the stock Gen II right?

edit: Chris in for the post-block for the second time..Mother f'r
