I ordered a set of P225/60R16 Michelin Primacy MVX4 tires from TireMonkey.com. I ordered from them since 1) their prices were cheaper than other tire shops that I had called in town and 2) it said that they would be able to deliver them to the tire shop I requested one business day after pickup from a local distributor. I placed the order late Wednesday night, which would have meant that they would have been delivered to the tire place today, in which I would have tried to have them installed tomorrow.

However, I found out that instead of being sent from a local distributor, they were sent from their main warehouse in North Carolina, which means that they will not be delivered until Monday. That has me really pissed off!

Should of called them to ensure it was possible before you ordered. Anytime you buy online regardless where it is you experience this. Only place I have never experienced this is at summitracing.com.

And if you have your stock directional rims make sure the shop don't put em on backwards like Pep Boys did to me

Ape: They did indicate that they were going to be sent from a nearby warehouse to the tire shop. It said that it would be delivered within one business day. What happened was that, for whatever reason, they were sent from their warehouse in North Carolina instead of the warehouse they were supposed to be sent from. They could not give me an explanation about why this was so (e.g.: tire being out of stock at other warehouse, them simply screwing up, etc.). Here, I'll show you what I'm talking about.

2002: Thankfully, I have the snowflake rims, so I should be good. :D

Biggest bunch of dinks Ive ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Called them to spec out a H.O. alternator for my SC and asked for their tech line. Well they blew me off to the "I dont know :q:q:q:q" line because it was just a simple Alt. application. Guys swears up and down its gonna fit so I say OK give me the next day freight on it and send it. Sure enough, it gets here and it wont fkn fit just like I had suspected. Call them up and get blown off again by the tech line. Talk to these other jokers and argue with them telling them that it wont work, they wont let go so I ask to talk to tech. Finally get tech on the phone and they do the same thing. I send them a cell phone photo and they say OK send it back but not without telling me one last fkn time that it SHOULD FIT. Really?? Then they wont refund me my next day freight and they charge me a handling fee as well. Told them to delete me from their system completely and that I didnt want to see their catalog rag in my fkn mailbox ever again. It still comes but it never makes it inside the fkn house.

Never again...I dont have time for dummies and Im certainly not gonna give them my hard earned OR a good word.

Wow, guess there is always one. I have never in my 20 years of buying go fast parts heard someone have a hard time with Summit. There have been a couple simple mistakes with them when ordering but they always corrected it with zero trouble and I always got the right part the very next day even though I never payed for next day shipping.

I like Summit and whenever I can, I buy from there.

Same here. Had a couple of issues with Summit, but they always made them right. Of course, no matter how good a company's customer service department is, one or two will always slip through the cracks.

Now, I'm not implying that Brad is this type of person, for I think I know better... however, you're always going to have the people who will piss and moan about every little hiccup they may go through with a company they do business with, no matter what said company does to remedy the problem.

I generally take bad reviews with a grain of salt unless I see a pattern of clear bad customer service from said reviews.

Same here, I have bought :q:q:q:q loads of crap from them, from Super Swampers and rims for the Bronco to dress up parts and what not. They have a warehouse in Ga., and everytime but once were they able to get it to me from Ga., the one time they could not and had to ship it from Tx, they did it over night at their expense and not mine. Their phone service is top notch in my opinion, and their tech help is too. But no matter what company is out there, every once in awhile you are going to experience something gone bad, but if they stand by their reputation and company, then they will always find a way to make it right.

I didnt get that upset until it was very clear that they thought I didnt know what I was talking about, insisting that it fit and they had shipped out 100's of them "Yea fkn Right". I asked then the last time any of them had changed an Alternator and if they recalled how tight they can fit. Add some intercooler tubes into the mix and things begin to get really tight. I explained all of this before I even ordered it from them. All of my words fell on deaf ears because I was the stupid customer that doesnt know anything and its just another simple alternator application. So none of my concerns were even taken into consideration. Well my concerns were exactly what kept the Alt. from fitting. Then they seem to take the position that I must want to return the Alt. for some other reason. I argue that if I didnt want/need the Alt. in the first place why the hell would I have it sent next day?? So I didnt enter the ultra-pissed level until I was all but called a liar and told that I would not be refunded my freight AND that I would be charged a Summit handling fee. If I handled my own business like that in even one instance I would find it pretty tough to peddle my products.

So yea if you are buying nuts and bolts...Some tires "God Forbid", or something that doesnt have tight tolerances, that needs to FIT by design then yay for fkn summit I guess. Everytime I see their catalog in the mail I find it irritating. I wouldnt buy anything from them if they were the only fkn source available.
