Hey everyone! I am on the hunt tomorrow on a 98 - 04 transmission and the question came up of how long the tail shaft was on my 95 transmission. Anyone know how long the orginial 95 tranmission tail shaft length is. Also, is there any difference between a Police Crown Vic tranny and the Mark 8?

Never measured the length of mine but this is what it looks like.

There are 2 lengths available.

Mark VIII = short tailshaft
CVPI = long tailshaft

That was the reason for his question because he was wondering if police Crown Vic trans tail shaft. (Came in a PM)

While we're on the subject, lets say I was able to get a 99 Crown Vic trans and it had the longer tail shaft, would my 95 shaft bolt onto the 99 or is there problems with that?
