My F'ing turn..

I hit one Deer, or rather it hit me and did $6000 some odd damage to my SVX at the time. Well I have Allstate and to this day they wont cover me if I hit a Deer again cause they will raise my rates as they will consider me to live in a dangerous area

Ouch and on an SVX too!!! I used to work at a Subaru dealer.. Always liked those interesting little cars.

I've reported all but 1 my deer hits, but unfortunately I was young and stupid and on my first car I could only afford liability... which to me seems like a waste of money. 2nd car was soo minor I fixed the fender and repainted it myself.

3rd deer hit... well, see my sig, lol

And they are cheap to. Cannot complain about $27 a month for my mark.

Exactly! It's like "where were you my whole driving life!!"

I pay $209 a month for full coverage on my 4x4 ranger, and my '94 Mustang GT. That's with 2 speedings and a wreckless opp on my record, plus non-fault deer hits. Cant wait for things to start dissapearing off my driving record!

Yeah only pic I have on Photobucket I could find of it? I took pics for the insurance of how the Deer even bent in my Sunrood with it's head as it bounced over my car

Got the M725 and not a damn Deer would dare shoot out in front of it

Lmao! Love it!

Also, that looks to be a '70 El Camino?

71' Elcamino with Cowl Flapper hood that I put a 400SBC in and traded for a 69' Camaro that I flipped for $10,500 on EBAY :D

Then picked this gem up and doubled my money on it on EBAY again

Sounds like I need to take Ebay lessons...

Yeah well it was before we had this lil economy hick up :shifty:

Kinda funny tho cause I pickup up a Honda Odesey (2 stroke buggy not Mini Van) for $1500 in like 99 or so? Traded it after I broke it for the Elcamino with a shot engine. Put in a 400 and couldn't get $1500 for it even :( Then met a guy who just had to have it and traded a rot free 307 69 Camaro for it but it had a replacement title. Kept and then needed jing so EBAY turned it into a jewel when somebody in Fla bid it up to 10,500 and I used a bit of that to get the F350 6.9 on 44's with no title.

Again EBAY and got double what I picked it up for :D

Now I just picked up a bunch of 1971 Challenger parts and can't get jack squat on Craigslist for em

Finally heard from butt plugs insurance company. They took 100% responsibility! His story was way off and she knew he was full of BS. Now I need to see if the $7,300 estimate will make it by em .

Whatever low book is will be what they will want to pay. Refuse the first offer, they always go up.

Heard from adjuster yesterday. Need to take car back to CarStar today for pics and more documentation/paperwork. The $7,300 estimate did soil her panties! :D

At least I'm getting closer to getting screwed with out the Vaseline.

Round 1 is over. Made my counter offer. Waiting for call back

They offered:
$2,641.50 and I give up car.
$2,437.42 and I keep car.

$3,200.00 and I keep car is my counter offer.

NADA retail is $3,050 with 120k miles
KBB retail is $3,490 with 120k miles

Split the diff on retail and phuck their 10%

Private party value is all they will usually pay, retail is for dealers. Good luck.

Not totally true. Most insurance companys have shifted to NADA retail values. Heard that straight from the body shop today.

The insurance company I am dealing with uses an outside company to determine values. He didn't say anything about private party.

They offered you what I thought they would and stated they would earlier in the thread. They are under no obligation to pay you full retail. You might get it though considering it is only $400 more.

i agree and im in the battle too and mines totaled and its a complete front end damage (see photo book)

Settled for $3,000. He looked in his NADA and retailed me at $3,105.42. Less their $180 salvage fee he offered $2,925.42. Told him $3,000 and I would go away, he said I can do that. Check is in the mail.

Have an estimate from the local hot rod shop for $3,232.50, minus the $743.93 for using my parts I get fixed for just under $2,500 and have beer money leftover.

I would prolly buy a cheap shell before fixing it... but that is me.

Funny you mentioned that. Chargerxr just offered his 96 black on black LSC to me. The car is actually sitting in my driveway now. I am storing it and a 2nd gen LSC for him this winter. Never really paid much attention to it but gonna look it over today.
