Do they work correctly?

The second version that shines white when the lights are on and flashes to amber when turn signal is applied, then goes back to white.

I remember that as well....If you plan on getting angel eyes I wouldn't worry about it and just get the plain amber ones. With the eyes and LED's they do not light as running lights making the eyes look even better

Dang.

I just wanted to have the full white effect in the front but i guess the
front bulbs have the same issue as the rears.

There is the possibility that them not lighting as running lights is not related to the angel eyes. I only mention them and the effect since the few people with LED signals have both. It could just be with LED's in the turn signals they will never light unless prompted by the turn signal.

If someone out there has V-LED's and no orions and they do in fact light all the time chime in here....

dang it lol.

I love my LS but some things about it piss me off.

I hate how other cars have fancy gauges and we have a boring bland green.

No cause then ill have blue gauges with everything else green.

This is what our gauges should look like:

Well, strictly visually speaking, our LSes are really 01s (from 1999) with a slight cosmetic refresh. Can't expect much.

I agree lincoln really dropped the ball on the guage cluster. Especially for the gen2.

But bullschmidt is exactly right with everything he has said thus far.

There was one fellow who was adventurous enough to rip apart his cluster and was in the process of changing the colors. The guy disappeared and the thread died though, we can only assume there was a serious snag or something

It shouldint be too hard...its matter of finding all the green bulbs and replacing them with another color.

I would do white or blue leds.

I had the same idea. But its the bulb white and the plastic it passes through green?

That's how the green lights on the shifter are.

Well a different color bulb might change the gauges color some.

edit:

oh man thats sweet!!

wow. that looks awesome.

several of the lights can just be replaced with blue led bulbs.... but the intrument cluster "sheet" is coated with the green coloring.... it has to be sanded off... this is the case with a few other things in the car.... and if you sand too much... you ruin the actual numbers or picture.... trust me i found out the hard way..... the gear selector switch is actually 1 solid peice of plastic with the green color inside of it... so just changing the bulb does not work, I am actually in the process of making a new one from a mold of my oold one.....

so it seems, the green is in the cluster sheet and needs to be sanded down so the blue shows through. probably still white lights in there then.
