Thats because i basically did, i used ford touch up paint, but it was just a test. This is what the center caps look like:

And yea thats def a job for the pros, i was just testing the color scheme (i.e. black star silver background, or silver star black background). I've been in touch with the guy that makes Lincoln decals on ebay, and he said he can make me some custom ones, i just have to give him my specs.

I got my set of decals for <$10 from an eBay seller, and there was not a whole lot of need for communication...just buying them and stating the size in the comment section at checkout. Let me know if you need the information.

Cool. Yeah they look good. They are pretty good way of adding the logo to the caps, real easy too.

The trick is being careful enough to clearcoat over them.

Yeah, thats what I'm planning on doing. I tried it once with them,they looked great. I took them off though because the paint didn't match the rims right so I had paintscratch make me some.

thanks guys, prep work is a pain, but its the most important step IMO.

i think i have the center cap situation resolved:

I can tell you were nervous when painting the emblem haha, either that or you dont have a steady hand, next time do full strokes so you dont have the overlap

thanks for the advice, but that was just a test(which took me like a minute), im going with a different set up for center caps. Looking at ones that do not cover the lugs.

Yeah I wanted BBS wheels but couldn't afford them, center cap is gone, just body matched color metal disc. I don't like advertising company logos for free!
