I personally like the previous generation more...

+1

The grille and headlights are too in your face. Clean car though, but personally would prefer the previous gen1 from the outside, haven't seen these from the inside though

Nice truck, but that is about the going rate for those in my area (southern Ohio). Anywhere from 28-35K depending on miles. I have been looking at 07 and 08s because our lease is up in March on the MKX and I want to drop our payment.

I actually really like that style navi. I can't afford 33K though.

The front of this gen is nicer than the rear.
Its almost like the front is over styled and the rear in under styled

that price seems kind of high to me ,You should take a trip to florida they are way cheaper here,There is a place here that sells all fords products right off lease pretty cheap.I saw a 07 with 40k for $23,999

I prefer the second gen myself. But I want one that is no more then 4 years old. So I am looking at third gens. I want black on black. Its a hard combo to find for a decent price around here. I looking for low 40k in miles or less. I get to Texas every so often. Seems they have a lot down there for good prices. I am not in a real hurry. Looking for a deal.:D

yea i know how that is but for almost $10,000 cheaper for the same year and mileage i would deal with the light interior..lol

Sorry to hear the deal didn't go through, but keep looking you will find the right one.
We picked up 09 about 6 months ago and the truck is great. I do like the generation before better as far as the styling goes, but in terms of ride quality and handling, the new generation will outperform the older one in every way.

This was a week after we picked up, i gave a wash and went out for some pics.

Nice truck 05 LS8 what kind of MPG are you getting regularly? Any problems so far and what kind of mileage is on it? As I said earlier I am thinking about picking one up when our MKX lease is up, but I owned an 03 that was nothing but problems so I am doing as much research as I can before I pull the trigger. Everything I have read pretty much says the the third gen is the most reliable and best for the money.

As for the Florida and Texas suvs, most that I have seen for sale are 2WD and that is a factor in price.

Thanks!
We bought the truck used. It only had 20,000 miles on it, we put about 6,000 more and no problems so far. It's got 100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty on it, so i am not too worried. I do have a lot of confidence in it though, it should be a problem free ride.

We average about 13.8-14-5 miles per gallon. I did a small trip (120miles) with it recently, and it went up to 18.5, which means it's got the potential.

Overall, it's a very nice truck, unbelievebly comfortable to drive and it's quick for a 6000 pound truck. You can't even compare it to the older models, it's just that much better.

Thanks for the info, there is a black on black 08 near me with every option for 30998. My bank is doing. 2.9% right now on used so I could probably pick it up for about 100 less a month than we pay on the 08 MKX we leased. I am very tempted...

Not a problem. That's not a bad deal at all, if it has around 40,000 miles on it and it is very clean.
We paid $42,000 for ours, but it was 6 months old when we got it with low miles. Plus, the 6 year or 100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty, which alone is worth probably $3000.
There was one 2010 model year that we checked out and it was going for $67,000. Craaazzy right.

My suggestion is, go drive a new one then start shopping. This way you have something to compare it to. Unless, you already know how they drive.

Good luck with the search though.

Thanks for the info.:) The MPG is better then my current '03 Durango(13.4). Wife will like that. Plus, the MPG on your short trip was better then the highway MPG our Durango gets(16.5).

One question. The running boards. Are yours power or not? If not, would you prefer the power?

Any time. If you have any specific questions, don't hesitate to ask.

The running boards are not powered. Honestly, i thought about it and I like the ones on the truck better. Otherwise it looks empty without them.
The weird thing is, all the other ones that we looked at, had powered running boards, Navigation, DVD player and so on, completely optioned out. But, none of the had rear heated seats. Ours doesn't have those options, but it does have rear heated seats.

I forgot to mention in my first post, the white one that you posted is not really that great of a deal. Just keep looking and you will find the right truck at a right price. Good luck!

09 was the first year for heated rear seats and Sync I am pretty sure so maybe thats why they didnt have those options???

You might be right. Most of the ones that we looked at with those options, were 07-08s.
