Bassani Exhaust video and other pics

I painted my rear bumper lower pieces to match a few weeks back but never posted pics. The black tips stand out more now, before they would blend in with the black pieces and it would seem like I didn't have tips on. I haven't had time to paint the side skirts but I'll do that over winter break. I also painted and mounted the a-pillar pod to match the interior color. I recently installed some bassani muffler to replace the magnaflows I had one there. These bassani's sound real nice, videos dont do justice :cool:

I also installed 5k hid bulbs in my low beams last night. They look good and go better with the angel eyes that 4300k did.

That is just a camera effect from the LEDs and the camera refresh rate
 
Hey can you link me to those low beam bulbs? Also are you happy with the whiteness, or would you go one level higher after seeing those?

I have 6k LED fogs and the rings are also 6K. So I am wondering if you would have stepped up now after seeing those 5ks.
 
Muffler sound

I've had a fondness for Bassanis ever since I put them on my '63 F-100 ICB about ten or twelve years ago. But I don't think your car sounds MUCH different from my Magnaflow cat-back. And I like mine better!:D

Damn son!

Some things I wanna comment on though: I would pull down the rear valance to even it out, and perhaps (IMO) the tips stick out too much?
 
Told you those Bassanis sounded bad ass. IMO, they need resonators just to get rid of the raspiness, but still sounded good like that, too. I LOVED them on my LS. Was looking to get them for my SRT8, but they drone too much on that car. Enjoy!!

Camera effect. I thought they weren't working so I went to check but they were good. It's like when you record tv's, you can see things moving all over the places on the video but when you look at it with yours eyes you dont see it.

ddm tunning bulbs. I was going to order some phllips 5k bulbs but they are 100+. DDM's are 13 right now for that pair and they will do just fine for now until I can try the phillips bulbs.

Like I said video's dont do justice. I went with the magnaflows instead of bassani's because I saw one video on here that made them sound deep and nice, almost as loud as my flowsmaster with resonators on. When I installed them, the sound was nice, but how loud they were did not satisfy me.

Everytime my dad would take my car out with the magnaflow on, I would wait outside to hear my ls drive away. They sound ded nice but when you get to about 3000-3500 rpm, they mas out in volume. When I heard my dad drive away for the time last night with the bassani's installed, I just got a big grin because they sounded so nice and had good volume.

I fixed the valence when I reinstalled it after painting but I guess it moved again. The bassani mufflers are a little longer so the tips fit out a little more.

That's what I was thinking.. The Bassanis are pretty long though so maybe that had an effect on it..

Well atleast i know for sure they sound great compared to other from my own experience.

I have seen a few bassani videos of srt8's and they sound nice with no drone.

I guess I didn't realize that you had LED tails.. lol

I plan on getting one soon.. Next month.. Everything is next month.. OVERAGE CHECK! :D Were did you get the paint? Matches perfect
 
Andrizzle, as you can see in the pics, the low beams match really well with the rings, a lot a lot better than 4300k. Personally, I wouldn't go up to 6k because it start going blue, but I'm sure 6k would match it perfectly. 5k matches it like 90% so it's more than a good match.



Thanks pete, it does add some kick to the rear end, I love the look, the sporty look.

I'm the one that made them work.lol. ;)

Yeah, everything is next month for me too.I got the exterior and the paint for the pods from paintscratch.Ordered the dove gray color.
 
I really want that spoiler, just not for 3 bills. I am going to get the trunk and rear surround repainted this spring. Hopefully I can get one by then. [/threadjack]

I might upholster mine.. I'm not sure yet.. If I don't I am def going to get the paint from them..
 
I don't seem to be able to post even pictures, to say nothing about a vid. I'll have to try again sometime soon! And I don't want any more rasp than I have to have. I may have to do something in addition, when I substitute a pair of hairdryers for the MF muffs. Are you familiar with SuperTrapps?

Just got to a PC that I could hear the videos on... Wow that does sound great, perhaps a bit on the raspy side for me, but it definitely is more aggressive sounding than my Magnaflows!

And I think I may order 5K and 6K bulbs so I can choose.

I also see you are rocking the signal LEDs now, how do you like it with no parking bulbs lighting up? I think it looks awesome!

The drone is on the inside of the cars. That's why I spent the money I did on the Corsa for my car. I had something on the car before it and the interior rattled like a mother. If it wasn't for that, I woulda definitely went Bassanis on this car too. :)

That's why I went resonated like you did.. I had open before and that was too loud and too much drone..

I was forced to drive it a mile with just the cats and that was it.. It was soo loud, it was making my rear view mirror shake more than my sub could.. lol :D

Cool, yeah plus they are really cheap, way cheaper than halogen bulbs.

I dont hear the raspy part.lol. When I think of raspy, I think of camthman;s bassani set up. That was raspy,

oh ok, got it. That would be annoying, but these dont sound like that inside or outside.
