New DD

Best stock wheels, IMO. You'll like the car. I just got tired of it's little things that would annoy me (eating coils every six months, no balls even with a tune, drive-by-wire without a tune, weird mysterious beeps, etc.) to keep it.
 
LS's are great car, just like they ^^ pointed out, i've had problems with starting like pete, and all the other little things that go wrong, and the mark is a nice car, not the type of car i would drive, but still a nice car, but every car has positives and negatives

Where did you get that info? It was phased out along with the T-Bird because 2 door luxury coupes were becoming much less popular and people were migrating to SUV's. It had nothing to do with being weak and rusting apart.
 
Also, isn't the LS the official car of NAMBLA?

Really man, This is kinda like comparing apples to oranges....But since it was started.

These are just two different cars and they each have there place. But to blindly say Mark VIII > LS is bs.....

In stock form's the LS flat kicks they crap out of the mark in every catagory except for ride quality. As it should as it almost has a 10 year advantage.

The fact that you had a stock gen 2 mark run 14.6 is impressive because honestly they usually struggle to get into the 14's

But the mark is the better sports car and feels more like a hot rod.
 
Easy killer, I too am getting others riled up saying nonsense. As I have said many times before, I like the ls just fine. It don't matter that I see 6 or more every day and 4 out of them are driven by some oblivious female driver with kids in the back in some kind of sports uniform, they are still decient 4 door family cars.

Again my comments were to reflect other equally dumb comments saying the LS ia superior.

The cars are not competition for each other. As was stated large high power luxury coups are not the sellers they once were so most have gone the way of the dodo bird.

the ls motor was built in the US and has had alot more problems than the AJ
and I am tired of people saying that jaguars are unreliable onece ford aquired them it was
a huge turn around in reliability the

and just to keep the argument going the LS has to many doors if it had 2 less it would have been the mark IX and a real sports car
 
Derrick all kidding aside if you are happy with the LS that's all that matters and like Rich it would be cool to see it at the Beach Party. :cool:

"Based on" in this case means that it's the Jaguar 4.0L AJ V-8 with a smaller bore. And yes, when Ford took over Jag, the quality improved dramatically. However, Jag has had poor quality issues for decades. And even though their quality is improved, it's hard to shake that stigma after so many years.

i do find it hilarious that the real LS haters, have never owned both cars to be able to actually compare them to each other, as well as the mark haters have never even been in a mark.

i think that the only people who should be able to tell us which one is better has got to be somebody that has actually experienced the joys and sorrows of ownership of both of these fine machines.

I had a v6 as a demo car for a bit back in 2000. It was ok and thus why I said I would pimp one as a dd. It had all the options and handled ok.

But onto the ball sweat! :lol: to keep the rear window seal from turning to craq I always park in the shade. That and there is a nice little vent below the steering wheel that cools my nards quite well. :D

I'd like for them both to be there but Bridget has already said shes not driving one. So idk whats gonna happen. Guess deal with it closer to the meet.

I love my cooled seats!!! I can't wait till I auctually need them next summer!

Kristin said the same thing but eventually I talked her into driving up the 96.
