I typed in 5x108 to vbe searched in the entire post on craigslist to see if rims came up and some did to my surprise, Just have to check the offset. The first ones aren't bad, depending on size though. I like the second ones and since they are cheap, I might go check them out. What do you guys think? I know I have the volvo's, but I wouldn't mind having the second set for california winter weather and keep the volvo's for spring and summer.

I know but I need to get the rims refinished too plus the tires. That like 1200+

I wish I could find rims that easily in my area.. looking for winter crappers. Trying to stay away from ebay as well.

what the hell is california winter weather? lol i really like the second set

basically :D

It rains here and there and if I'm going to drop 600 to refinish all 4 volvo rims then I want them to stay clean and dry. Just thought it would be nice to have good looking winter weather or wetter than normal weather rims instead of the stockers.

1 is prob the better deal and could prob get em for 400..I like #2 though and could get those for alittle less aswell.

ur such a d*ck....oohhh i dont want to get my rims wet with the harsh winter water conditions in cali!!!! lol

Well I cant say I need winter beaters cause it doesn't snow here, I needed an excuse, thats the best I cold do :D. Plus I was planning on getting summer tires on with the volvo's and I haven't tried before, but I doubt I would like the ooutcome of driving in the rain with summer tires on.

I'm going to check them out tomorrow, but I doubt I'll pull the trigger since I can't waste money, but if they are nice enough in person I might have to make an exception..........just like the others thing I bought out of "impluse" when I still had things waiting in my garage to be installed :shifty:

They both look good, but get those 19's up and running first!

Also, Alax not to jack your thread, but I saw a pic of your calipers in another thread and was wondering what rotors you and pads you are using and if you like them or not (i.e no droning, grinding, sqeaking, ticking, and they stop well) and how long you have been running them.

Yeah, I doubt I'll buy them.

I got that rotorpros set from the rotor pros package deal thread. I forgot the pads I got either posiquiet or ceramic, but one side would squeek under light braking and it got annoying. I flip the pads on that wheel, the outside pad to the inside and the inside pad to the outside and it only sqeeks a little under hard braking. I remember when I took my pads off, on side was a lot more worn out thatn the other, so I thought the pad had something hard in it making the noise so I out it to the side that made less pressure, well thats what I thought it my head, and it worked.

I dont know if on side of the caliper make more pressure than the other but the pads showed that when I replaced them. They stop really well but I'm going to try a different brand next time.

The caliper is floating meaning that when you step on the brakes, the caliper moves to put even force on both pads.. If there is more wear on one than the other, I would check to make sure that the caliper still floats and isn't frozen. This could be causing your squeek.. Just my .02 to your problem..

By frozen you mean stuck right? If you're referring to the outside part of the caliper, it moves easily, if you're referring to the inside where part where the piston is, then if it were stuck, would it stil brake or no? I would assume if the piston was stuck, that side wouldn't break but all sides brake. The rotors are smooth now on all sides, inside and out.

pic of said volvo rims?

So I checked out both sets of rims today. The RST wheels, which the center cap said MST not RST, were alright. They were chrome so they didn't catch my eye and they didn't look as good as in the picture.

The voxx wheels looked pretty good. They were silver and one had some curb rash, but the offset was 35mm. I didn't want to cut it close but I was very tempted to get them.

The ones I saw were 35mm, you sure yours aren't 35? I'm not a big fan of chrome but they do look nice!

Discount told me they are 38mm and my research indicates same.
