Well here is my recently acquired ls, just got her back from my mechanic today. Had the front brakes and rotors replaced, the engine splash shield and the serpentine belt. Also had the kkm intake installed.

Tires are new yokohamas, and the tint is 20/25/25 onyx.

Next up is spark plugs and oil change. vehicle is at 63,500 miles and in very good condition. Also getting my 10" mtx sub and kenwood amp installed soon, as an add on to the factory nav system.

Looking for suggestions on what else can be done, looking at possibly getting the sct tune kit. and yes i know she is dirty, hasnt been washed/waxed.

If you look closely the front bumper has a scratch from a fender bender. It wasnt me i swear! lol, i will be getting the whole bumper cover repainted since its chipped all in the front.

The rotors are oem and the pads are ceramic i believe.

This was last minute, so i just got what was available. Next time ill do all four and ill get some performance pads and rotors.

Yay twins!

Yours has the navigation also? (wait nm just read your sig lol)

Im also wanting to do exhaust, not sure what mufflers i want though cause the intake makes it sound nice already.

Don't forget to remove the front plate holder if your state allows. Make a world of difference on the front end look. Nice ride!

Just a suggestion....if you're holding out on the mufflers, just install larger exhaust tips for now. They fill out the openings in the bumper nicely. The stock ones are waaaay too small.

Im in texas, must have fronts here.

I just havent received my plates yet. And yes i am considering those magnaflow
exhaust tips at least for now.

I'm in Wisconsin. They require front plate but don't strongly enforce it. I don't have one and nearly all customers at the dealership that I am at leave without a front plate.

They require one in Ohio too but I have had 5 cars now without one and they haven't done anything yet. I live about 30 miles from Kentucky and KY and some other surrounding states don't require them so I don't think they enforce it as much around here. I do have friends who have got tickets that way though so who knows...

Very nice. +1 on the plates. They take away from the ls, they're ugly.

They require them here in CA also but I have been driving without front plates for 4 months now and barely got a fix it ticket. I am not drilling holes in my bumper so I was thinking of a way to do it and not have them out all the time. I was almost set into one of those hide away electric plates but I dont like how the front end of the rail sticks out past the bumper. I think I will make one that slides down from inside the bumper when the car is in drive and when it's park and you're going to turn her off, it goes away, so I dont have to look at the ugly plates when I walk up to her or take pics.

Something like this is what I had in mind

YouTube - Plate vid

This is the normal hide away plate that flips out but you can see the plate under the car and the rail.

Those are pretty sweet looking Alax. Especially the Camaro. I don't think the 2nd one would work on my car, I have to crawl out of my driveway as it is, I would rip that off on my first attempt.

Thanks to Silver LS idea, I had to go out and do what he did. I had bought the license plate bracket that goes with the LSE bumper. I really didn't want to drill holes in my either.

mine has the holes already, although i could plug them up since im gonna get it painted.

system is partially installed, will post pics when its done.

Same color.

Its hard to see but theres a deep scratch on the passenger side and the entire bumper cover is messed up from common road debris.

Im also thinking of replacing the high beams and fog lights, i need something that matches the factory hid's as closely as possible.

Update:

System has been fully installed, and hits pretty hard!

Will post pics tomorrow sometime, pushing just a bit over 500rms @ 4ohms to a single 10" sub in a sealed enclosure.

Yeah the second one would not be good for lowered cars and I just dont like that rail sticking out. The camaro is a pretty sweet one. I've been thinking of ways to do it and I think I have it down. I'll just need to see how much room I'll have to work with, prob not much knwing the ls

You want to match 4300k oem hids? Get 4300k hids for the fogs. Why do you want hids for your hi's, do you really use them? Thats the only place I would go with filament bulbs, unless you live in the middle of no where where there are no lights, then I would consider HIDs for the hi beams.

The hidden plate is cool.. But if it is to avoid tickets, won't the cop just realize/see that it is motorized?... And still give you a ticket... I mean it has to be visible right? So what makes you think hiding it, then revealing it once you realize hes stopping you, will get you out a of the ticket?

Nice car, feels good to get a bunch of needed work done.

The front plate video's are awesome! The first one would (should) work on an LS.....you leave it exposed daily when the pigs could nail ya going to work or whatever, you retract it for pics, car shows, GTG's etc. Neat! We don't need a front plate in Az but if we did I'd be all over those......

A clean nose is a beautiful thing...

In my case, it would not be to avoid a ticket, you still have the back plates anyways. I dont want to drill holes in my bumper and the front looks ugly with them on. So everytime I walk up to my car, it will be plateless, when I turn it on, boom, plates drop with me in the car and I can't see them, but they will be there for cops to get off my back while i'm driving. When I turn the car off, they go down, so I will never look at those plates again, they will just come down when I'm driving and hide away when the car is off so I wont have to look at them and no holes, plus I get to make my own hide away plate gizmo which should be fun :D
