Airconditioner WOES!!!!

...The line from autozone is $41.99, with no shipping charges. Then again, I also changed the accumulator which is recommended anytime you change the orifice tube or compressor and flushed the evaporator and condensor too.... :)

96_Linc, why add two more possible leak points with cutting the line and putting in a kit when the lines are cheap? I'm sure the kit isn't to much cheaper and it's not worth the hassle imho...

Off topic, but the blend door in my 97 exploder is broken, I assume its going to be a PITA for that as well? I have the new door but havent had the chance to actually do it yet.
anyone want to come out and help? Lol

I had a buddy just do this on a 01 exploder i think
with a dremall in the right spot it only took him a 1/2 hour

It all depends, If the Orifice tube is a constant issue with clogging, are you going to keep throwing 41 or 50 at it each time to replace or do you want to just put a 3 dollar part in? as for leaks, I really dont think it adds that much more chance if its done right.. It is a compression fitting, business's and homes alike all use them at one point or another..

Like I said if, you have limited funds, then it may be a quick option and offer up easy replacement if your system becomes an issue in the future..

If it's constantly clogging, you should find out why and fix that component that causing it. There are filters you can use inline as well. It's up to you how to fix it, you can try any way you want, but may end up doing it over and over again... ;)
