just getting ready for when my neon gets in. if i need to epoxy some studs, what do you guys recomend for 2 part epoxys?

I held the our LT1 Corvette together with JB Weld.

Stuff worked quite well as long as it was warm enough for it to set up.

i use the 2 part 15 minute epoxy that autozone or advance carries from 3M stuff works mint.

i would use good old 3m 5200. i was a boat mechanic for like 6mo. and I have seen fiberglass tear apart before the 5200 gave up . it is the duckt tape of the boating industry. 3m also makes 5100 which is not as strong.

i use wild bear semen, its a mother to get from the bear but holds anything together you put it on!

I know this isn't a car question - but since we're talking about plastics and epoxy, any of you guys ever try to repair cracked Oakleys? I've tried JB Weld but the frame keeps separating. I really don't want to buy another pair as this is my second set of Gascans and I don't want to keep paying that price.

no you have to get it right from the male bear! its no good if its already mixed with vag fluid

I've found the plastic welder at hardware and auto parts stores.

What's an Oakley?

When I did mine I used super glue to set them in plae so I didn't have to hold them while the epoxy set, then I used a 15 minute epoxy... any stuff for plastic will work fine.

5200 ???????????????????????????????? thats marine sealant, we use that at work when we attach railings and spiral staircases to people roofs, we use it in the holes for out stainless lag bolts so water doesnt leak into the house. i dont know if i would try to hold a stud onto a neon with it i think if you tighten the nut onto the stud you will pull the stud right off the light. 5200 dries like a harder caulking, it always stays somewhat flexable.
