I did a search but didn't find what I needed.
I sold a HID kit I had and have been kicking myself ever since...
What size bulb from Hoen would go in the fogs on a 2nd gen LSE?
What size HID bulb?

Are they both the same size bulb? H11?

Any help would be appreciated.

I am talking about fogs only. I have factory HID on the low beams already. I wasn't sure if I was clear in the earlier post.

On the LSE Bumper, the fog light bulb is H11, I know this because I replaced my regular bumper with the LSE bumper, and I noticed the bulb fittings were different. The regular ones are 9145 (H10). By the way, not to steal the thread, but does anyone know if there's a way i can change the wire harness from H10 to H11? For those who have replaced their regular bumpers with the LSE..

Krunk Muzik-
Thanks for the reply,
PM 02V8Sport and ask him about the conversion you are talking about. He had a LS and he put the 04+ LSE bumper on it and ran bulbs no problem. I'm pretty sure he ran HIDs down there too!
So H11 is what I need then?

Thanks! Will do that! But yea, like i stated before, my LSE bumper takes H11 bulbs, I tried putting in H10 (9145) bulbs and the hole is too little. So i tried the H11 HID bulbs I had for my low beams in my previous headlights, and sure enough, perfect fit. I confirmed the fitting by taking a look at the back of the fog light unit, and it read H11 :) Unless by some weird reason they changed the fitting, it should be H11

You can cut off your H10 and put on an H11 connector, or you can do what I did. I didn't want to splice into the factory harness so I made a piggyback connector. You'll need 2 H10 connectors and 2 H11 connectors, wire 1 of each together and it's plug and play. It cost a little more but was worth it.

Also to the OP I would suggest checking your foglights before buying bulbs. Mine were supposed to be H11's when I did the conversion, but turned out to be H8's. It has the bulb size stamped on the back of the fog light housing.

Yeah so I noticed recently that my LSE fogs that max sent me had stamped h8's went to look for h8 bulbs won't fit...put and h11 it seemed to fit until a thunder storm hit and my left fog got some rain inside and blew one of my bulbs. Now before I got nuts is, there h8 bulbs that fit or am I just crazy?? lol What brand of bulbs should I look for ?? Insight on what you guys are using would help . Thanks

Fog Bulbs

I put these Luminics H10 fog bulbs in about a month ago. Super bright and they look great.

Automotivelightingusa.com has a pretty decent selection. Check 'em out.

I bought h11 too and when I took off the ones from the lse fogs, they said h8 on them too. I just cut off a little piece off of one of the 3 metal tab that was a little wider and they fit perfectly.

Thanks ! the H11 fit but not tight but ill try what you said

Well when I compared the 3 holes on the fogs lights with the 3 metal tabs on the bulb, the bulb had the wider of the 3, wider than the wide one on the fog light,I hope thats not too confusing. I couldn't even put the bulb all the way in becasue the wide tab was too wide so I had to cut it down a bit.

I just looked at my 06 fog lights and it said H8 too. I just got these pigtails in the mail today that I ordered. But is the H8 the right bulb because the 06 fog light pigtail don't even fit the H8 bulb but it does fit an 9005 bulb as you see in the pic but the bulb doesn't fit in all the way. So I wonder what other bulb will fit the pig tails and the lights.

That's exactly what I did since I already had my HID kit ordered before I got the fog lights.

So Alax7 you trimmed the tabs on the fog light correct?? Not the housing

All I can lend is my experience in this.

The HID system I am running in my fogs is an H11 and fit with no modification except I had to switch the wires that connect to the OEM wire housing in the HID housing to match the OEM setup. If I remember right it was because the housings only connect one way and the wires were opposite. We installed a the same exact set on my buddies G8 which were also H11 and had to do the same thing, switch the wires. I just chalked it up to the company putting them in wrong.

Once the wires were flipped they fit perfectly and have worked with no leaks of fogging for over a year now.

Also the bulbs I pulled out of my stock OEM 06 bumper were H11 and are the same as the H11 bulbs that came out of my wife's low beams on the MKX, not H8. Maybe they switched to H8 on the bumpers for some reason???

I trimmed a little piece from the metal tabs from the h11 bulb, NOT the housing.

Maybe they stopped making the lse fog that used h11 and now stock compatible/similar fogs and they use h8. The only differece in the 2 bulbs is the wider of the 3 tabs are difference width. They both have one tab that is a little wider than the other 2, but this wide tab is wider on the h11 bulb than the h8's wide tab, thats why I had to cut the h11 tab to be the same size as the h8 so it could fit in the fog housing

05+ Mustang uses them in the Pony Package grille, & the 08+ Focus. Hey Alex, found these. They're CCFL though. These might match your headlights a little better, but I'm not sure if it's worth the expense.
