The LS needed new front pads about a month ago. I changed them no differently than any others I have ever done. I popped the master cylinder open, disconnected the caliper, pressed the piston back in, put the new pads on with anti-rattle grease, bolted the caliper back on, and repeated on the other side. I cleaned up any excess brake fluid so as not to exceed the max-fill line, started the car, worked the brakes, then put the cap back on the master cylinder.

Ever since, it appears that both front calipers are hanging slightly. I managed to bleed the passenger side this weekend, then my bleeder sprung a leak. I did not see any air come through the line when I was bleeding it, and I can still here the slight "scraping" noise when driving alongside a building. Is there something I missed, or some procedure I neglected to follow? I would not expect both calipers to pitch out at the same time...it just seems like too much of a coincidence.

Did you check the slides?

I just went through this with my buddys truck. When he did brakes last he just changed pads and paid no attention to the slides. His brakes were basically locking up. I pulled the calipers off, cleaned and re-greased the slides and now all is good once again.

I will have to do that. I did not even think about it...they were working before, so it did not cross my mind that they might get gummed up after replacing the pads. Thanks!

I never really used to pay attention either.....until I had problems!

Thats how I learn things! LOL

You did note state that your replaced the rotors or had them turned correct? If so your are most likely rubbing off old rust on rotors edges. And you also could have bent the back thin metal dust shield to make it rub. If the calipers are really sticking you would be getting SMOKE from front brakes.

No, it is not that. The calipers are hanging, not stuck. They are starting to groove the rotors, so I know that is what is going on. No loss of fuel economy, though, and the hanging does not seem to be too bad.

Re-grease the caliper pins

Bildabo already said that two days ago. It was not the problem, either. I checked both calipers on Monday evening, and the pins looked like they had been greased the day before...in perfect condition. I finished bleeding the brakes now that I had a second pair of feet, but I am not sure if that resolved the issue or not. I doubt it.
