So recently since I started driving the car again and the "Check Air Ride System" warning comes up every time I drive it. The compressor works fine raising and lowering the car no problem. The bags look great and the car runs smooth. Could this just be a sensor problem?

You should go to American Air"s site and follow their diagnostic drill to help find the problem as there are several issues that come to mind and you need to find out some of these symptoms cause and effect.

Funny that i just posted this. I just got back from driving up the road. I park the car and go inside. I come out 5 mins later and the car is slammed to the ground in the front and a milky liquid is leaking from the front end. I started the car and it pumped the air bags right up but as soon as it was almost to normal ride height it let out a loud stream of air and went right back down to the ground.

I dont think this is a bag that burst, why would both passenger and driver side go down at the same time? Is there lines under their that would cause this problem? The compressor is still working as well. What do you guys think? Ill try that site also to diagnose the problem.

Sounds like lots of water in the system and a leaking/stuck solanoid. Gonna want to drain it and clean the filter and prolly remove all the vents and replace the orings. Hope the bags and pump are still ok, look for even slight cracks on them.

The bags were in great condition when i bought the car 2k miles ago. SHould i just say forget the air ride and do the coil conversion? I dont mind a little stiffer ride. This is my DD and i dont feel like fixing the air bag system over and over again.

Contact Jamie. He wants to do a trade and has a bad ass coil conversion. Also if you dont know these cars then you didnt really look at the air springs. You need the car up and them extended and get your eyeball 3" away from them and look for any micro cracks. Thats all it takes to kill a spring.

Seriously though, contact Jamie. A conversion like his will run you over $600 and will firm the car up.

one leaking front bag will pull the entire front end down. where was this mystery milky puddle located in reference to the underside of the car?
