Does it make sense to salvage the wiring harness?

Looks like I could potentially pull it out intact, just not sure it's worth the effort.

Thoughts?

It would be nice to have a complete harness laying around if anything happened. If i part a car out i take EVERYTHING i could use sometime down the road for another project.

That's the thought I had, but I'm wondering how often you would need an entire harness?

I assume you can splice into the old one, about the only time it would make sense to do the entire thing would be a frame up restoration on something that had either been burned or had a real mouse problem.

One thing I have, though, is time. So maybe in 20 years I pull out that box with the harness in it and make 50 dollars on it. :)

If you're doing it for the copper value, that's alot of work...but if you have time then you also have time to toss the harness on a small fire and get the coating off...clean copper is worth more
