Theres a MACLaren grille on ebay..

Guess my 250 will go to a set of umnitza's. Anybody interested in a brand new set of oracle ccfl's for the LS?

DAMN! 300+ for the grille? I should sell mine for that!!!!!!!!!

I saw a ragged out green LS the other day at Miami with a not even painted Mclaren on it. I thought about putting a note on their windshield offering them $100.00 and my number. If I see it again I may just do that.

So I guess no one on here got it? Shame

I wonder why they ever stopped making these....

It may be worth for someone with one to try and find someone to make a recreation mold out of an existing one and score a little profit on these.

They changed the molding material or something along those lines and the company that made them thought it cost too much to convert over. Something in that general area. I forgot where I read that. Either found it here, online, or maybe talked to ken.

With the markup on them now I am sure it is profitable to build them again... I mean weren't they selling for like 150 bucks painted?

Now they can sell for twice as much.

Perhaps it is more complicated than I think, but from what I have seen, it looks like it is a basic grill surround with the perforated plastic insert?

Yeah they could prob make them again but the reason they go for a lot now is because they aren't made anymore.

It is a one piece grille. The surround and mesh is molded together.

I know I'm sayen make a handful every once in a while and sell for big bucks. At least I will get some out there in circulations.

I still have a chunk or 2 left of that perforated plastic. Wonder if it's big enough to fit into the stock grill after removing that waterfall???

If you aren't going to use a piece for the top grille you can send it my way. I would like to try and fab one up and see how it would stack up against a real mclaren.Just putting it out there

Well, let me see if it will work first size-wise. Then we'll talk.

The rarity of these grilles is the reason for the value. I am glad I got mine when they were $100! I thought I was paying too much then....

$300+ for a plastic grille??? geez!!! Guess I'll have to go dig mine off the garage floor and hope that it isn't too badly broken. :D

Before they were discontinued. A couple years ago, from a member on here.

So I'm guessing the new eBay one is the winner of he last. I can't imagine hethinks he can flip it for profit after a 312 price tag. Seems kind of. Retarded?

Thas what I was thinking. Pretty dumb to do. No way it's going to sell for more than what he paid, not smart in makin profit. Now if he would bought like 20 when they were like 50 a whil ago and now sold them for 175-200 each, he would make a decent profit
