has anyone here put a ram air scoop on their car for their intake? i was looking at my car today and i really want to get more cold air into the intake because im using a conical filter and im trying to avoid the excess motor heat. i know i was looking at someones pictures of their mark viii on here and i seen they had it. if anyone knows what im talking about maybe you could tell me what it consists of to do it.

Thanks for the help :)

The Super Mark has a hood intake ... Look at Geno's garage ...

There are raised hoods which take air off the windshield ... Then there were a few who tried to draw more air from the bumper ... otherwise I don't know ..

The problem with a ram air system is water. If air gets in, so can water. Although it has been done successfully on a mark before, I would advise against it.

Yeah your right. Plus I don't want to have to be cleaning and replacing filters that often. I had one more question, i see there is a hole about 1" in diameter on the bottom of my bumper underneath the column that leads to the intake. Is that for air to go into?

What you are describing there sounds to me like the water drain holes. There should be one each side.

I had the March ram air system years ago on my Mustang. That thing caught more crap
than I ever imagined possible. I would seriously advise against it. Go with a nice CAI setup instead.

Yeah maybe it is that. Its a 1" diameter hole on each side of the bottom of the bumper. I though it was their for air to get into the intake on that one side.

Cheap ram air. What me and my buddy did on our mn12, get a dryer hose and run it to the opening that lead to the airbox. It made make more of a sucking sound but power wise u won't notice anything

im thinking of modding my hood to a snorkle, like the 99- Mustang GTs and making it functional, any opinions?
not sure how i would get the MAS in there thou
how bout someone photo shop that??
