We thought the throttle body would need to come off at first, but it doesn't.
Removal and Installation
Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding in this section.
Remove the thermostat housing. For additional information, refer to Thermostat Housing in this section.
Disconnect the throttle body heater hose from the coolant outlet pipe and position aside.
Disconnect the degas bottle hose from the coolant outlet pipe and position aside.
Disconnect the upper radiator hose from the coolant outlet pipe and position aside.
Remove the 4 bolts and the coolant outlet pipe.
Inspect the 2 coolant outlet pipe seals and install new seals if necessary.
To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

I believe the outlet pipe came with the 2 seals it needs, so I just had it, the t-stat and the t-stat housing seal (#8 replaced
