I have wanted a black on black first gen for as long as I have loved Mark VIIIs. Well, its funny, just today I found where my old 97 went and monday I was planning on buying some black interior parts from Jaime for my current car. Well, this evening i'm looking on craigslist for Mark 8s in the area for sale, and waddaya know, there is a 95 black on black w/ 108k miles on it about 5 minutes from my house. They have it on craigslist for 2950, but on their home site its listed at 3950. I have only known about this car for about 2 hours and I have already gone over and looked at it on the lot through a chain link fence.

Spozda get about 1700 bux from taxes and I would sell my current mark in a heart beat to buy this one. Guess i'll just have to talk to them and see whats up.

Funny how stuff like this pops up.

I'd post the ad, but I dont want the car to get ninja'd. :D

I can relate DieselDan.

I was looking for parts for my sons 96 when I found my 93 in a we-pull-it-for-you yard. I went out in the yard and looked it over and knew I had to have it. Granted, it was way less then the one you found, but I would have paid twice what I did to get it!

I say go for it! You probably know Mark VIII's better than they do, so nitpick it to death, then wheel and deal them :D .
 
Thats my plan, go and nit pick it. My plan is to maybe trade, or atleast try that first. I want to go back again to day to look at it, but its still behind a fence. All I want is to possibly be allowed to swap my HIDs into it, and keep my octis... Also gotta convince the wife.....

If you can't keep them octis, let me know I will have a mint set for sale in a couple months.

Just becareful to not fall for this car. Don't want to overlook some potential issues because it looks like "the one". I made that mistake once, and all I got was a year of headaches.
 
I'm not gonna break my back trying to have this car. I went and looked at the car again and the front bumper is faded slightly and there is a small ding over the passenger rear wheel. That is all I can see thru the fence. I'm just gonna keep a close eye on it, dont see the car selling soon. Just don't have the funds and I wanna keep my word to Jaime for the parts I planned on buying. In the past I've gone head over heals for a few cars, and its never really bit me. I'm not gonna make myself sick over this car like I have in the past, I dont have the money, and I'm not gonna try to make the money come outta my ass. I just have a house now and some debt that I'm determined to clear up. A nicer car will come in time, and the car I currently have is perfect, minus the black/black.
 
I really think you could prob get a nicer lower mile 96 black black for less than 3k if you're willing to travel some. Missing out on this car is probably a good thing.
