will gen2 door handles swap into a gen1

My handle is on the verg of breaking off.I found a same color gen2 with a good handle.Before i go snatching it off will it work?

try using the conti's rear door handles for our front lol, go with the shaved key cylinder hole look, and shorter handle!! just fill the gap with bondo word!!!!

Interior handles are NOT interchangeable without modification. You would have to swap door panels to make them work.

Also, if nobody's noticed... replacement handles from Ford carry the 1997-1998 casting numbers.

I too had wondered when I replaced my handle. Instead of the counterweight bolting to the handle, it was cast onto it. Better design, but a little more of a hassle to put in.
