You can push an aftermarket one to higher speeds than an oem one before it starts to vibrate, which in the case of a gear chage is a very good thing as steeper gears will make it spin faster to do the same wheel speed.
On a stock car with a stock diff, I wouldn't spend the money one one, and even on a mild gear change, I'd try the stock one first then decide from there if it was worth it (I did this with my 4.30's, I first tried a one piece balanced '93 shaft, indexed it to the best spot, still had a bit of a vibe at high speed, put the new driveshaft in and even unidexed it was a bit better, then indexing that one made a world of differece in the end)...
