I found a month old craigslist ad for someone with a few Mark 8 parts so i called last night. Turns out i some what knew the guy from my old job and he was getting ready to fill the car full of scrap and junk it. He sold me almost everything to finish swapping the rest of my interior from tan to black. I got the rear seat, carpet another set of black door panels with the jbl speakers, the trim that goes around the message center/gauges/headlight switch, kick panels, gauge cluster and some other little things all for 75.00!!!! now i just need black door handles and cruse control buttons and im done till i can pull a good double DIN dash. Its only took me a year to find enough good parts!!

Nope it was a 94, but all the black stuff came out of a 93. It was red with grey and black interior. Im going back to cut off the flowmasters, get the mirrors, door handles , hvac unit for 45.00, then the front suspention (its got less than 5000 miles on it) and the center pumpkin of the IRS if not all of it later on.

What didnt get smashed in the crash was cut, crushed or torched by the owner pulling the engine and trans out of the car...the brake booster is about the only good thing under there now.

He even cut the 1pc drive shaft that was on it to keep the trans from leaking, but the fluid is still comming out of the lines all over his 2 week old 30x40 garage floor.

Sounds like him and my dad need to get together. He also cut his 93 drive shaft just to get it out of the transmission. I wasn't out there before he made that decision. Him and his helper took the transmission out right after that. Good carpet inside the car was cut just to get the grinder to cut through the hump so that he could cut the shaft. When I saw that, I came back in the house. I wanted that drive shaft.

What got me was he cut it to keep the tailshaft plugged, he used his 2 post lift to pull the trans out. When i told him he could have got 75-100.00 out of it he kinda kicked himself.

ohhhh, wtf were they thinking trading in a mark, but damn good find, i wouldn't mind finding one with a little bit of damage, i plan on taking some fins out and doing somethign different

+ 10 on the great find! I usually don't reply to cl stuff that's over a week old. Guess I will be changing that policy now lol.

Some of the best deal on CL are older. I picked up 2 headlight housings, 2 HID bulbs, a fuse box cover, and a blend door actuator for $20!!! yes, $20.00.

Theres two 150,000 mile Mark 8's for sale right now on CL for 350.00 each, one is missing the hood, grill ,drivers fender and seat but has a good title and runs and drives and the other is 100% complete with a good title but is missing the keys......Living in an apartment sucks when it comes to cars, im already paying 30.00 a month to store my 68 Mustang coupe.

What area are they in? CL pwns me with trying to search all areas LOL.

The hard thing is finding one that hasnt been hit in the front,i got lucky, the one i got that grill off was a cash for clunkers trade in.

just think the car you robbed the grill off of was fed ground up glass into a perfectly good cobra motor, mooshed, shreded and sent to china. poor baby.

LOL Its still up there, As far as the good "cobra" motor there not that rare. you can buy the Teksid blocks all day long from 100.00-300.00. I saw nothing wrong with C4C at all, it just made my car that much more rare.
