They arrived today. Going to put them on tomorrow. If I didn't have hw due tomorrow I'd be putting them on right now :( .

I hope so :D . Did you get your angel eyes kit yet?

When I ordered it; they were out of stock of one of the rings. They just shipped it ot yesterday and refunded me a discount forthe wait.

I will be Cutting into the lights very soon :)

I was doing practice cuttingon my busted headlight remains and I broke my cutting bit on my dremel. So I'm going to go get a nice bit this weekend and begin. I have a good idea about where I'm going to cut them now. The parts that sucks is the dremel melts the plastic
instead of cutting it. So u need like goggles and gloves. It is definitely an experience lol.

That might work. Does the plastic melt cause the wheel moves to fast? Maybe we can find a multi speed dremel. I dont know which one you have and I need one so will get one soon.

My dad has one of these...

What are these called? It spins really fast I dont know if I'll be able to use it for th headlights

I have a single speed. But I don't think u can avoid it melting. Just a matter of how much it actually melts.

It isn't too bad. I found just going really slow and letting it melt leavEs the cleanest cut.

I have a multi speed dremel. It melts it no matter what really. You would need something either more abrasive (so it could move slower and still cut), or a reciprocating style cutter to prevent melting.

The one that I posted is oscillating. The blade goes back and forth a very tiny amount, very fast. It does not spin. That said, I don't know if it would cause melting or not. I've cut plastic pipe with it, and there is some melting at the higher speed settings.

Ah, like the Rockwell one.

I've used those. They are LOUD, but they don't seem to create the friction/heat that the rotary style ones. Maybe that's the ticket.

I think 'djknowledge' wanted to know where he got the OEM HIDs.

I ordered my angel eyes from Umnitza. They are the new LED ones, not a CCFL.

He shipped them on Wednesday so I am not sure I will see them until next week.

i actually wanted to know where u got the oem hid headlamps as i have the halogen headlamps and am told the hid ones have way better dispersion and cutoff compared to halogen.

They pop up on eBay all sometimes. (one on there now, with broken mounts)

Recently I was lucky enough to find a drivers side OEM HID light on there right after my wreck, which destroyed mine. I was lucky enough to not have to order a pair and I picked it up for only $230 shipped.

If you order through any dealer it is going to be in excess of $1500 easily for one.

I think your best bet is to find a junked LS or private listings on the web.

TDUB, I got the gen2 headlights. I have a gen2 remember

I got them from a guy on here. Cabadianls, something along those lines. I actually pm'd two guys from canada that had a set each, they hadn't been o[n here for a little while. They both responded back the same night saying they still had them but canadian ls replied a lot sooner. The other guy just replied to me again saying he would find out shipping cost. I first asked him about them about a month and a half ago. His ser name is tank386. He has a set for 400 plus shipping. I got mine for 500 shipped. Pm him. I just put them on. I turned the light on and was so amazed. That is the sexiest turning on of light I have seen. It was so beautiful. I have hids now.!!!! :dancefool .....Also there is an 05 ls with hids being parted out. It 2 hours away from me and I called to get them but they were 600 for the pair. I just went with 500 and saved all those miles on my ls.

They look so nice. Get them djknowledge, you wont regret it and its a pretty good deal too. I dont know if he read my pm but just tell him I got my hids so I dont need his anymore.

Oh and for the angel eyes. I think I am going to get them from lightwurks because I dont know the size of them and just to make sure I dont get the cheap imitation ones.

Here are some pics. I should've left the one reg headlight on at night to see the difference side by side but oh well. I left a reg light on the drivers side durong the day and the hid on the left to compare.

The first one is the one with the nokya bulbs and the oem halogen bulbs. Then its that same set up shown on the wall followed by the hid comparison.I aligned the lights up and even after the pics.
