kinda,
Picked up my winter ride on Sat. We don't get much snow here, but its nice to have when it does. I'm probably gonna lose the wheels, and maybe go stock on the tails, or at least smoked altezzas.

that should do MMMUUUCCCHHH better in the snow :D

i so expected to see something like an 84 suburban, probably one of the nicer "beaters" i have seen in a while

NICE! Although I'd hardly call that a beater. You're still going to care if someone smashes into you with their car.

Mine is missing the front driver's wheel well (well, it's not missing, it was in the box of the truck), the gas tank fill for some reason is located inside the rear passenger wheel well, speedometer and gas guage are both not functioning (have to keep a gas can in the box just in case), 2 heavy leaks (one oil leak, one trans fluid leak), etc.

Oh, and how much did you pick it up for?

ok, maybe not an official beater, but being as its a 2000, it needs a lil work.
Paint is f'd...swirl city, and a bunch of chips in the tailgate.

rear heat wont work, drivers side seat heater broke, right rear window switch bad, moonroof wont open..

not a bad deal, but I traded my 05 magnum for it.

its a 2000, with 87k on it, eddie bauer, remote start and the gay wheels

kbb says its worth 8500...the magnum was worth 7500

and thats why I said kinda...its kinda a beater...I love it now, but at first I felt like I downgraded from the Magnum...

17mpg hwy, 11 city...lol thats real life..

yes, I figured fordfan would want them.

they are 5x4.5 if you know anyone looking...20x probaly 7.5

I also got the stockers with it, with good tires on them

You know, the wheels aren't TERRIBLE, but I'd still pull them off before salt hits the roads so you can set a good price for them.

Yeah not even close to a beater w the list of stuff u said was wrong. Lol. I actually like the wheels on there but that's probably just me. I wish they were a 8 bolt to put on my superduty. For the taillights you should just paint them with clear coat with a little bit of black paint in it. Will smoke them really nicely. Ill post pictures of my taillights I smoked on my truck later that were clear like that.

they are growing on me, but part of me thinks its a sin to have low profile tires on a 4wd...then again, some black 22's with a polished lips might look pretty good..

Yeah, around here we call those "tar babies". 4wd vehicles that never go off road.

I was thinking of a light coat of nightshade for it.

I also want to change the headlights over to the clear ones...maybe the Harley Davidson, or lightning ones...

aside from the occasional jobsite, this will probably never go off road either..

maybe later in its life, but no time soon

mine's already been down trails, and hit by another truck since I've had it lol.

I'll get those pics up tonight when I get out of class around 9. Still not sure on this night shade stuff. I just like using clear from the get go so it's always protected. Good call on the Harley or Lightning Headlights. That will look sick.

"Beater kinda". Looks good. Put the 20's on Craiglist for trade or sell. I saw a few sets on there last week that you might like.

Yea thats an iffy "Beater" lol. If its really a beater you'd just use night shade on the euro tail lights cause you don't care too much. I don't think the wheels are too bad though, but I wouldn't run them in salt cause thats just gonna ruin them. All in all thats a pretty nice truck. Congrats. I hear you on the gas mileage... I think the Suburban is roughly the same.
