Any of you guys running a Nav deck in your cars. I am still hunting for a MK8, but when I find one, I want to do a Nav setup. My old T-Bird had an awesome sound system (2500watt), and I want to build something similar again.

With newer cars coming with Nav now, I am really liking the function and looks of the setup. So I know some of you guys have some nice setups, let's see them.

As long as you get a 96-98 Mark. You can put a double din in with a little modification.

Ive got a 95 and it wasn't that hard at all. The factory radio is oddly shaped and is only 1.5 din inside the dash so you will have to cut the dash behind the head unit a little bit to get it to fit. You wont see it and its easier than it sounds.

Man why did you go with that POS deck? :shifty: :p :D

Those are some cool setup's. How much have you guys spent? I have seen them between $150-$1800. Want a decent one, but not wanting to drop a ton of cash. Will wind up building a system piece by piece.

Spend the cash and get an AVIC-Z1,2 or 3. A z1 or z2 will run between 500-800 depending if its had the mod done yet. If it dont have the mod then you can get the modification for under $100. It will allow you to store 60gb of music/movies on it and have the current maps as well as free map upgrades. Also the upgrade allows the deck to play a video while in motion.

Excellent deck. If not that then get an Eclipse 5510 or 6610.

Damn, that looks familiar! :D

I actually just took that deck out, sold it, and bought a kenwood ddx512, nice unit, plays dvd's and does nav with an upgrade, was 330 factory refurbished.

has anybody tried a JVC KW-NX7000 i like it because it has a removable face plate. I had a pioneer avic d3 that someone broke in and stole, and i dont want to go thru that again.

Last time JVC made a really good deck it had two shafts and its biggest feature was auto reverse.
