I get it between 40-50 MPH. Anything under that is smoothe and anything over that it is barely noticeable. Things I have done to "fix" it.

1. Hub centric rings for after market rims
2. New UCA's, LCA's, coil conversion
3. New pads all around and new rotors up front

Shaking in steering wheel is stil there, gets pretty bad when I hit the brakes going over 60. Any ideas? I guess it could be a wheel off balance but I havent had that checked yet.

Rotate the tires and make sure they all have proper air pressure.

I did that too, forgot to mention it. Thanks though.

yeah probably next would be to check wheel imbalances, i have new upper and lower control arms, swaybar links, strut rod bushings, wheels/tires, and an alignment and mine still shakes a tiny bit.

fixing the air pressure helped (got real cold last few days and they all went down) and next is to rotate them, that should fix it.

bent wheel, bad tire, but you say when you hit the brakes i would say warped rotors bbut if it does it when accelerating too i wouldnt think rotors. sounds like a bad tire or rim.

You've eliminated alot of other possibilities so I would have to go with Jaime...

id say tires, how old are they? they usually just start drying and cracking a bit, very fine cracks, maybe its the heat idk...........

Thats what i was thinking too but wanted to make sure before i spent money to have someone else look at it.

you may have a shifted belt, which if left alone can explode, i'd get the tires looked at asap chad.

you can check for a bad belt yourself, just check the tread, if theres a bald spot/a spot with much lower tread 180* from a spot with deep tread, DING DING DING you got a bad belt!

Yep its actually called a tire seperation. Rubber seperates from the belt. Probably a high spot on the tire somewhere. Its much less common than it use to be with more advanced tire technology but it still happens. You should be able to get an adjustment on the tire if you either go back where you bought the tires, or if you go to a dealer of the manufacturer of that tire.

Good Luck

Brad

the belts shifted in my silverado while i was towing a mark back to my shop last month and wobble wobble kaboooooooooooooooooooooooooom and this is what i found on the right rear, it was like a fun cracker jack suprise!!!!!

Unfortunately, truck and suv tires are not made to the same standards as passenger car tires are. They do these things much more often.
