i just finished workin on lucy for like 6 hours, replacing the starter and solenoid on her down at school in a buddies driveway... man was it a pain in the ass... sheared on bolt off too :( so gotta get it out when i go home... o'well... she's running and starting like a champ now, so thats what counts

Six hours certainly qualifies as a pain in the ass.......to bad about the sheared bolt.....Lucy is happy now....lol

Should have asked first! I think I can do mine in under 30 minutes.

Take the passenger side wheel off, then with a shorty ratchet wrench all three bolts are easy to get to. Some bolts need an extension, some dont. I bought a shorty just for this job, well worth it.

True, I took the starter off the 93 parts car in less than 10 minutes and had never searched to see how and had never taken one off a Mark before but I was also in a garage and the car was up high in the front and plenty of light. Of course pulling the engine out, I wasn't putting it back on but with the right tools and good light, it could be done fairly quick.

The IAC is the hardest job I have tackled so far on mine and the steering rack comes in 2nd. I have a special tool now for the IAC and can be done now in about 20 min. I have taken 3 off and put 2 on and figured out that having a foot 1/2 flexible extension makes those 2 little bolts much easier.

I have noticed on these cars that sometimes you have to make your own tools for it to get something done within a day.
