And for the extra weight you loose power brakes and an accesory drive?
Im all for different, I like uniqueness (sold the Stang not the Mark) but if thats gonna be a street car why would you add that much weight and lose all the niceties for a car that would have been just as fast (or faster) with all the bolt ons and a nitrous kit?
Or go the baller route and blow it.
Now if its just a drag car and you just want to get the most power cheaply and to hell with the car being driven on the street then I can see the desire.
Man thats a nice car!
Any info you could pass on would help me out quite a bit, what transmission, motor mounts, headers etc...
Thanks

I don't think that BB mark gets alot of street duty...
It will be rarely driven on the street . I purchased it to do a little drag racing mainly grudge racing type stuff here in Detroit. I want to keep it as stock looking as possible, with as much power as my pockets will allow. Thats why I was thinking big block although I'm not dead set on it yet. I'll tell you what though, I bought this car at auction and I really didn't look at it all that closely, it's pretty clean for a 95! I almost hate to touch it!
Holy shyt Geno... thats wild
That thing just looks like it would be a handful on the street... But I think laser was referring to how it lost alot of it streetabilty... As was I when I said what I said.
I guess you could drive most things on the street, but would you want to ?Well I would but I'm effing crazy
LMAO bolt ons? nos and go as fast, NOT lmao this car runs mid 8's on pump gas and street driven. The weight loss from all the crap was almost an exact trade off for the new engine, the SVO 460 is light man, lighter then yiou may think. The cage added most of the weight back.
So take a bolted on 4.6 like I said, gut the interior, remove ALL the acc and power steering/brakes, put in a specialized trans like the 460 has and a shortened 9" solid axle with 4.56 gears and I bet you are within a hair of the same time.
But he keeps the stock sleeper look and sound (no big block exhaust or bolt on cowl hood).
For what your after just do a 427 or a 465 inch stroker small block Ford with a Pro Charger or single turbo, keep the front end stock then do a solid axel 9 inch in the back with a small 10.5 tire. Do it right with the right combo you can look "Fairly stock" and still achieve 8 second time slips on the street.
That engine combo sounds like it will get the job done but it also sounds a bit pricy!
