Seat track/motor question

no they arent, the only thing different is the electrical aspect, if you take the wires and brain off your gen 2 track and swap it over to the gen 1 track it will work. the frames and motors are the same, only the harness and brain are different. the gen track also has one hole on the side that is different from a gen 2, but you can still put your gen 2 bolt through it, it will work.

Hoping to put the 96 parts on the 98 seat this weekend. If not to drunk to run a camera I may post some blurry pics ;)

you can put gen 2 foam and skins on a gen 1 seat frame also, its been done, i'd show pics but i dont feel like it. search for dennis jones convertible mark VIII

I'd prolly go that route... it isn't that hard to strip the seats...

I sold the Gen 2 covers and foams from my 97 parts car to a guy with a 95...
