Just put my dash back in, had it out to reconnect yellow vacuum line to dash vents, now the car runs like crap and is blowing water out the left tail pipe. It acts like it is running on 4 cylinders. The car ran fine before I pulled the dash  I have rechecked all of the electrical connections, but I can not find anything wrong. Hard to believe that it blew a head gasket just setting in the driveway.
Anybody have any ideas of what I might have missed?

Thanks.

water or coolant?

it's normal for the mark 8 to push an insane amount of water out the exhaust.
That is just the cats doing what they are supposed to do.

now if you have "coolant" coming out the tail pipes, that's a clear indicator the cooling system has been compromised (head gasket, cracked head etc)

For every gallon of gasoline burned, one gallon of water is produced in the form of condensation. Did you pinch a harness or wire leading to the pcm? any codes? If it's running that bad, a wire is pinch or you forgot to connect something there should be a code.

OK, it was just water, no coolant. I just had not seen it put out that much water before.
I am going to check for pinched wires his weekend. It is too dark by the time I get home from work. I noticed the o/d light is flashing.

That seems like alot to me, but.. I have seen ALOT of water coming out of the tailpipes..
Didn't think it was 1:1 though..

FIXED!!!!!!!!!!:D I found a prong bent in the plug on the trans tunnel. I straightened the pin and plugged it back up. The o/d light quit flashing and the the car runs great! Tomorrow I will button everything back up on the dash and be driving it this weekend. Yippee!

Glad to see you got that thing going. I know how much work you have been putting into that car.

Thanks, Terry. Yep, now I can put those sweet sunvisors in. :D

I would have cleaned the mirrors on them before sending them to you but I figured you would want to take pride in doing that yourself. Those visors looked like new ones. The lady at the post office told me I was supposed to use a flat rate box and not just a plain brown box because when I printed the label at home, I used "medium flat rate" and she called me back to the counter. She weighed the box and then lectured me about the boxes that I was supposed to use and it should say "Flat Rate" and then told me it would be ok because I had paid about $3 over on shipping. I told her since the box was sorta flat and I over paid, grab her sharpie and write flat rate all over it lol. She nags me every time I go in there. Did the vacuum canister and support bar all work out ok? I think I sent you all the screws and bolts needed for each piece. I still have more black stuff left if you need anything.

my 93' leaves puddles like an inch of water on the driveway when you let it run, its insane, runs perfectly fine though. sprayed the dog a few times lols, ill post a pic to show you guys but, is it normal to actually create that much water? i know perfect combustion creates hydrogen and when the oxygen hits it blah you got water but for a 16 year old car with 160,000 kms on it i doubt its that perfect!
