First of all you need to search and read. This all has been covered MANY times. Everyone has different opinions on everything but I know what I use and have used in the past and it has worked well for me so far.

Plugs: Autolite 764

Wires: MSD Superconductor

Oil: Mobile 1 full synthetic

Oil Filter: Fram Extra Gaurd

Trans Fluid: Mercon V

Fuel System Cleaner: Lucus Fuel System Treatment

Air filter: K&N (Im sure ill get flammed for that one)

Fuel filter: Motorcraft

Flush the cooling system

Flush the Brake system

And the most important part: Detail- clay bar and wax outside, wetsand and buff headlights, clean wheels, armor all tires, clean engine bay, vaccum and steam clean carpet, condition leather, clean windows, etc.

If those are all done at once it will make your car drive like never before.

Post pics of the progress!

I use everything k9t8m uses, even the k&n :) except I have the ford motorsports 9mm wires and for a oil filter I use pepboys brand proline filter.....its a little shorter and is easy to get in and out

Be careful with the plugs.

More than likely they are gonna be super tight upon removal.
Do NOT put them back in with the same force it took to get them out.

dont quote me..do the research but the torque spec for the plugs is something stupid small like 14 ft lbs.

Ya, do the plugs on a cold engine.

Also, Ford kept changing their torque specs, but my 93's manual says 7 Lb-ft.

I run the Autolite 764's and have them set at .054''

Max sells some nice replacement wires - 9mm Ford Racing wires for 100 bux.

I'm always hearing bad things about Fram filters, so I use the Ford FL820 S which is even available at Walmart for less than 4 bux!

Regards to oil: I use a good 5w 30 although Ford says you can use 5w 20.

Cruise control: Needs to have the recall done. If it hasn't, then disconnect it at the correct place. (do a search, there's pics around of the switch you need to disconnect)

Ya, do the plugs on a cold engine.

Absolutely correct.

Best way is to change the plugs before the engine has been ran that day, rather than trying to wait 5-8 hours before all the heat is gone from the engine.

Since there are only 4 threads in the spark plug hole you dont want to do anything to fatigue them, such as taking the plugs out of a hot motor.
