Bad day to race at the track, 100 degree weather plus a 10-15mph headwind. First run blew the tires off and ran a 15.39 at 93MPH with a 2.49 60 foot time. 2nd run did a quick 2 step burnout and ran a 15.01 at 93.45MPH with a 2.247 60 foot and a .031 reaction time. Last run forgot to turn off the traction control, when I started doing a burn out and it kicked in I thought I blew the rear end LOL... I still ran with it on and decided to manually shift and boy did it retard the timing on the shift and made me short shift, still ran a 15.19 at 93.47MPH because the car had a good cool down. Reaction time was an impressive .010 with a 2.310 60 foot time. So the car will definately do 14's bone stock but I honestly thought it would be a bit faster...

15.01 is not bad at 100 Degrees weather.
You should run few tenths faster in colder air and no head wind.

No 10.2 runs?

Good job mang! I never did get a chance to runmine in the quarter.

You make it sound like you won't be able to in the future? Just do it, you never know how fast it is until you see the timeslip. I for sure thought this 93 was the fastest bone stock Mark VIII I've driven but my 96 did a 14.93 at 95.79 bone stock, granted in better weather conditions...

I wanna run mine....Should i be worried il break something? lol

Make sure all your maintenance is up to date and let that 4V scream through the 1/4 mile like it's supposed to...

I dont think I will be able to run it between now and when the new gears go in so i wont have a baseline. :(

you just need to bring it down, stop resisting.
We'll get you baselined...

Texas Motor Speedway is only 30 minutes away. :D Gotta see when their next open night is. Its just so damn expensive though. $35 and you are lucky to get 3 or 4 runs. Thats why I started to go to the 1/8th track here. Only $10 and you can run till ya get tired or break something. :wrench

Hell take it to the 1/8th mile track...that's fine.

what's the name of the 1/8th mile track?

Its eaither Cedar Creek or Seven Points. I already know what it runs there. 9.9 regularly with one freak of nature 9.43, never could come close to duplicating it again though. So I would say the car is a 9.9X car right now.
Gotta find my timeslips so I can see what the 60' was. Pretty sure 2.6X is all I could muster with the 9.43 run being the sole 2.2X.
Be nice to have some traction out of the hole though.

I have to ask, why do all your track posts start off with an "excuse" or a "disclaimer" if you will.

No need to make excuses, the car "runs what it runs".

you always mention you run at a "slow track", "headwind"..blah blah blah.

Trust me, the conditions you run in aren't worse than those we race in here in July, August, Sept in TEXAS.

LOL... if it was a cool 40 degree fall night with a DA of less than 0 I would mention that too.
