where is the top fill line?

Mine is on the container. On the side facing the engine block. It is difficult to see though.

Mine is half between min/max, and the halfway on my reservoir is where the bottle has a seam in it. Where the two plastic pieces, that make up the bottle, kind of meet and form a ridge. I would think anywhere close to the bottle almost being full / a few inches from the top would be fine.

Do you have a MIN line? My MIN Line is a pretty good ways down on the side, so I think there is alot of buffer room

A few inches from the top? The reservoir isn't even a few inches deep.

i dont see a fill line.. mines say lucas on the top, and in the back some manufact. stuff... i took off the cap and looked, it may be low, i dont know, should it be close to the top?

I thought you said at the start of this whole thing that you checked the level and it was good. Are you now saying that the sensor was doing it's job and warning you of a low fluid level? The brake fluid should just about touch the top of the reservoir. If it is low then you either have a leak or your pads are worn down and it may be time to replace them.

joegr, i dont know what it is, i am tryin to figure it out, but i cant read a top fill line so how can i with out a doubt say its full, if the max line is where the plastic connects then yes its low, ill check the pads, i dont see a leak or puddles, so should i add more fluid?? maybe still be the sensor, but i dont know where the fill line is, but i think it may be low, i just had brakes flushed 4 weeks ago, but no pads or rotors

I think in the back it goes downward. From the front it looks very shallow, but if you look behind it, It slopes down.

At least that's what it looked like to me, lol

See the attached picture.
The max fill line is the line over the word max. If your fluid is only at the level of the seam, then it is indeed low.

YES, thank you, now i see, so i would say the sensor is working fine, hahah does anyone have any idea why it would be low, i had the brake flushed 4 weeks ago.. i checked all 4 brakes, and the front right was the only one kinda loose, not a firm brake like the other 3, any ideas? thanks

Was someone holdin the pedal for you because if not there should be no pressure. And because whoever flushed it left it low.

yea, it was actually the dealership, i dont see any leaks, and no one was holding the brake, i just check the other pads and they werent wiggley at all, but one moved a slight bit, would i be all set putting more brake fluid in, or do i need to flush the system? the level wasnt that low, just about a 1/4 inch under the seam..

Sorry, but I'd bet you have a problem. None of the pads should be loose. There is a check valve to hold slight pressure on all of the pads, even with your foot off the brake. Maybe the bleeder on that caliper is loose?

If you just had brake work done, then take it back and get them to fix it correctly.

i know, i agree, its like the caliper piston isnt pushed out all the way to make a tight brake, when i push the rotor all the way in, i can jiggle the outside pad alittle, the other wheels have force, i could check the bleeder bolt, i hate the dealership
