give me the scoop people. Gunna do this tomorrow hopefully. Saw they needed replacing doing the sway bar links today.

What are you doing? New pads and rotors or just pads?
I bought mine on ebay for $120 shipped and it was brand new drilled/slotted rotors ( makes a HUGE difference when braking a lot) and ceramic pads. They car stops 100x better then it did and they have held up great!
I would not get Autozone brakes for nothing though. My car had brand new Autozone rotors and their best pads when I bought it. 4 months latter and the pads on all four corners were cracked in half, drivers front rotor was warped to :q:q:q:q and the passenger rotor had a crack in it.
Autozone sux ass.

Ass :p

My car stopped terriably when I got it. Couldnt lock up a single tire and was downright scarry stopping from tripple digits. The new setup is so much better its like night and day.
The old system I could brake hard twice and it would then fade to almost nothing. The new setup I have tried severe stopping 10 times back to back and had zero fade. It is no longer scary when I need to brake hard.
There were a couple times with the old setup where I could push the pedal as hard as I could and would have to hold on for dear life as I wondered which car would be better to run into.

I would say 100x better now. :D

Teh man speaks teh troof. Before I bought my car the previous owner put on new ball joints, tie rods, end links, strut rod bushings, pads, rotors, shocks, struts, power steering pump and IAC all from Autozone. So far the only parts I have had to fix on the car is replace every Autozone part he installed. :(

Never never never shop at Autozone unless it's the one that MediumD works at and he's working at the time..

:p

The C-Max ceramics we sell are actually pretty good. The Duralast golds are OK, I would stay away from our semi-metallics and organics. I don't even offer the Valucraft :q:q:q:q to someone unless they directly ask, even then I try to talk them out of it. All the pads will stop the car at some point or another, but any but the ceramics usually squeak like a stuck pig.

Like I said only show at an Autozone which has MediumD working at it ...

Otherwise you are screwed ...
