i dont think 06s come just with them now. they did come with painted surrounds when they were sold by lincoln though in 05-06.

Interesting I was under the impression the only time you would see a painted surround was on an LSE or someone who painted it aftermarket.

From what I know other than the two tone rear tail lights the 06 LS's are the same as the earlier 2nd gen LSE's

In a nutsheel the 2006 LS has the 04/05 body kit grille and rear surround. i wanted the 02 spoiler so the lack of spoiler on the 06 wasn't a big deal to me. And the taillights are getting switched out to all reds. Even though it isn't an LSE it basically it is an LSE it just needs a couple little touches to make it exactly right. I looked for a 04/05 LSE within 300 miles of where I live for about 3 months and coulnd't find one the way I wanted it so I figured with a couple mods this is the next best thing. And the 06 only wheels are growing on me, but I plan on 19's or Jags as soon as money permits!

05 ls8, im loving your exhaust tips, but now that luebbe entered im not sure what im going to do (black 06s are my favorites- even though it is rocking monster truck suspension).

this will be a tough one.
